    HONDA service ........ advice needed

Hi guys Your experiences do not suprise me at all. I believe that the reason why the NSX failed to sell in Europe, is simply because Honda dealers are not interested in the NSX but in selling Civics and Accords. There seems to be no "sport" ethos about them whatsoever. Ferrari and Porsche...

    Where to buy (UK)?

I agree with the points that j14nsx has made, and I too have my reservations regarding imports. My biggest fear is that you can never verify the cars mileage or history, if its been in a smash, if it was owned by a leasing company etc. The other thing with jap cars, is that they seem to be...

Hi Dale glad you enjoyed it. I just looked at the weather in the morning and chickened out! There another track day on the 30th-Wed, I saw it in this weeks Autotrader. If the weather is ok I will be there.

Is Acura/Honda telling us the truth....

I agree with MvM, the 2002 must have more bhp, otherwise how can there have been a rise in performace? Remember that no aerodynamic changes have been made.

Is Acura/Honda telling us the truth....

I have just test drove the 2002 model, and I cannot believe that it has the same power as my 1993 car! The new car feels miles quicker, much more responsive in all gears. Has anyone independently verified the bhp figures, as all Japanese manufacturers have a gentlemens agreement to limit bhp...

    Oulton Park

It was nice to finally meet the Welsh Dragon at Oulton Park on Saturday. Sorry for the hold up by the way, it amazing how quickly you sink in that gravel trap!! No harm done. Look forward to seeing your NSX at the next trackday. Post me some dates.

    Exhaust

I am thinking of changing my exhaust in order to get a more sporty sound. Can anyone recommend anything for around £500 sterling? I am not really bothered about any bhp gains etc - just SOUND.

Which is the best road legal aftermarket exhaust?

Hi guys I've got the new exhaust bug, but I cannot decide for which system to go for - there are so many out there! Considering the following factors (in this order), which system would you recomend: 1. price 2. sound effects

Exhaust - Tubi or not to be?

I have heard many wonderful things about the TUBI exhaust system, and I am thinking of fitting it to my 1993 NSX. I am especially drawn to the "Ferrari noise" that it claims to produce. Has anyone got anything bad to say about it? or are there any better alternatives? How do I get hold of one...

    Lousy steering UPDATE

Guys I took your advice and checked the shocks. I havent taken it to the dealer for a proper shock test, but I have felt the shocks after a hard long run and discovered that they were not hot at all. I dont want to jump to conclusion, (I did not remove the front wheels, just stuck my hand in...

    gearbox/clutch mystery problem

Its hard to discribe the noise, but its one of those noises that if you have been driving several years you will have heard before! Its the noise any car makes when you are trying to pull away in say second gear instead of 1st. Trouble is, it doesnt do it all the time.

    Lousy steering UPDATE

Yes there does seem to be a transatlantic difference in the way they measure total toe. My dealer has just told me that front total toe of -0.35 means 0(degrees)and 35minutes. So is this the same as -3.5mm? If that is so then the front end is at spec. However the back end is +0.25minutes...

    Lousy steering UPDATE

Thanks to everyone who was kind enough to chip in with info. I will be looking into all that you have mentioned. With regards to alignment, i have found the actual aligment printout that was done when I bought the car: Rear axel: Total toe= +0.19 Camber= -1.37(left) -1.29(right) Front...

NSX = great engine - lousy steering

My steering is tight at low speeds, but at high speeds it seems to go very light (a bit like being over powered steering when it has no power steering at all). The worst is at high speed bends where you have to constantly readjust your alignment. The driver of a BMW 528 couldnt believe his...

NSX = great engine - lousy steering

My NSX was bought from an NSX dealer and the alignment was checked ( I have the readout to prove it). I have suggested shock wear to the dealer but they say they have never had to replace shocks! I.e they either work or they dont. Floaty is I think the right word to discribe my cars behaviour...

NSX = great engine - lousy steering

I bought my 1993 NSX ten months ago after years of reading wonderfull things in all the magazines.."great engine, very reliable, supercar...vague steering". The vague steering didnt mean anything to me at the time as I could not imagine what exactly the roadtesters meant - but I do now! My car...

    gearbox/clutch mystery problem

Hi guys, this is one of those problems that you only realise that you are having sometime later. A few weeks ago, I was at the lights and pulled away only to hear that shreek noise that you get when you are trying to get away in the wrong (high) gear. I didnt think anything of it at first...

    Removing engine cover/insulator

As it is very fashionable amongst the current crop of supercars to show off their engines (Ferrari 360), I was wondering if there would be any problems if I removed the engine cover(above the engine and below the rear glass) from my '93 car. Apart from making the rear end more interesting, it...
