Hey, me too! IP address: 54.64.172.178
Should I be worried? This sucks.

Get the cats hot so they work right, and let the EGR and cooling system (and normal closed loop operation) take care of NOx. The cats reduce NOx, HC and CO.
E.g.: 6NO2 + 4HC + 2CO --> 2H20 + 6C02 + 3N2
Combustion temps shouldn't be too crazy during a smog test @ 15mph in 2nd gear!
I've posted...

Been using this for probably more than 10 years...back when Palm Pilots were all the rage. I had a database issue a few months ago, and even though it has been such a long time since I bought it, the developer responded to my emails quickly and helped me fix the issue...
40-45 ft-lbs is correct. Was the caliper actually on there when you were tightening? Why do you say you were tightening the "bolts"? You should have been tightening the nuts. I'm pretty sure the studs (not bolts) should have been pre-installed by StopTech. In the picture I think I see a...
And yet not impressed by the use of the word "effectuate"?
Re: prices, I would think there is a very strong correlation between asking prices and sale prices...and I have indeed noticed asking prices are clearly trending up. Not that I care.
So it was approved, but just never paid? Sounds like a goof up. You need to fix 2 separate issues here. Get the debt cleared up with the insurance and whoever holds the claim to the debt. Then clear up your credit. You can dispute anything on your credit reports, and get it removed if they...
So burn $x in fuel, adding $y in depreciation (flight time), spending z man-hours while risking it all hovering tight over the tree line...just to save a $150 toy. I mean, c'mon, it was made of foam.
You already have R-134a. All US cars since '93 have it. If you didn't you wouldn't have been able to hook up the can to the system. Hopefully you did not use a refrigerant that includes a sealant.
I would like to know how they checked. Did they really remove and replace the valve covers for free? Is there any other way to check valve timing besides verifying marks on the belt against the marks on the cam sprockets?
^Agree with this. My car had the same symptom when I bought it. Bad temp sensor was the cause. See page 11-48 in the '91 manual. Disconnect the harness and measure resistance across the sensor with the car fully warmed up. You should get 200-400 ohms. I'm guessing you'll read higher than...
I wouldn't bother. It sounds like it's doing its thing and working fine. There aren't any performance benefits to be had...if you're passing smog then it's good enough.
Rope is correct. The CARB merely sets targets and standards that get tighter over time. My understanding is that, from those targets, they come up with is a statistical method of reducing some % of pollutants from each model they track, to meet the overall goal. The smog results show...
There are only so many items that can have much of an impact on smog tests, the most expensive of which is the cats of course (and those should probably last the longest, assuming the other ones are working well). Proper diagnosis is all that's required to either pinpoint problems or exonerate...
