    koni comes through

I was prepared to yell if warranty coverage had been denied, so I must now report Koni did the right thing plus some. My 98 NSX came out of the minnesota "winter that wouldn't end" finally and the passenger side rear koni was out of oil. When I was initially called I was told I must have a sales...

Can Anyone Recommend a Dealer near Minneapolis for a PPI?

I have first hand knowledge with the Bloomington dealer. Work and price were very satisfactory. Timing belt and install of Koni's. The Buerkle dealer actually has the most experienced tech on NSX in the region. Another owner has told me of Elite and was very favorable toward them. Mine is a 98...

    10% ethanol 90% gasoline

http://www.businessweek.com/print/technology/content/may2006/tc20060519_225336.htm It's not that clear that ethanol is a good thing, unless you grow corn or are part of Archer-Daniels-Midland.

    10% ethanol 90% gasoline

Decade maybe. But I have places where I can buy the real thing-and I mostly do. Gas has more energy the alcohol, better mileage and a few more horsepower. We have been sold a fraud on gasohol.

    Bilstein Heavy Duty shocks

I'm very pleased with my Koni sport shocks. Installed a couple of months ago. I have Bilstein on my Lexus, not so hot. Had Koni on my MR2 S/C and loved them there also. My NSX is my three season daily driver. Edit. My NSX is a 98 with 20,000 miles. Anyone want the OEM shocks cheap?

Opinion Wanted on service price quote

Re: Opinion Wanted I had my timing belt replaced a year ago. ('98 at 10,000 miles). The service manager at Bloomington Acura treated me well. My job was not the same as yours as I replaced the timing, alternator and compressor belts and that's all. About $800. The Brooklyn Park Acura dealer has...

    Drive it or ship?????????

And if you do mind driving, why buy a NSX?

    Drive it or ship?????????

Drove my 98 from Dallas to Mpls and had the chance to get to know the car. No regrets. Very comfortable, great mileage, lots of thumbs up, a positive experience.

    stupid timing belt

Have you checked the VIN with Acura to see if they have a record of the belt being changed?

    What tires

My 98 ate the oem rears in 6500 miles after being aligned with the tire saver alignment. I bought a set of Michelin PS2, found an alignment guy that had experience with aligning track NSX's, and told him I wanted "normal" tire wear. I lost maybe 15% of the handling sharpness, put about 7000...

    Crush washer for oil filter

It was/is my judgement that it does not pose this risk. I saw the disclaimer and looked carefully as and after I installed it. And just went and looked again now. It is not the lowest point, and while I know there are ways of hitting the not lowest point, I cannot imagine hitting this. I cannot...

    Crush washer for oil filter

Me too. Less than one year, not used it yet for oil change, should be a good thing. High quality piece, fit great.

    Octane to Use-is 87 ok?

Kaz This is the type of information I can use. The HP drop however, is two different cars. Are they the same with the same fuel?

    Octane to Use-is 87 ok?

Sorry, guess I wasn't clear. I use the 91 nonoxy. But I do believe the Honda engineers put in knock sensors that work.

    Octane to Use-is 87 ok?

Paul Try the 87, then try the 91, and then try the 91 nonoxy. Then decide. the car does not care. I use nonoxy for max power and mileage even though it's only rare that I get on it. Neil I am a grandpa but only drive like it part of the time
