I am reviving this old thread because, as stated here, "my clutch pedal went to the floor." So I can see that I need to replace both the clutch master cylinder and slave. And since my 1991 is now 26 years old, I suppose it would also be smart to replace both hoses in the system as well. But i...
It is an interesting question as to whether the new NSX will have a plug in aspect to it. I see two major advantages to a plug in version. First a plug in can store more energy than one based primarily on regenerative braking and taxing the engine to top off charge. So more power could be...
While it is nice to see something in print about the New NSX, MT is just speculating based on the official information that we have all heard. It is funny that once MT or C&D prints something, people start giving it more credence than the same speculation taking place here.
The NSX will be for...
I agree that today this C&D comparo sets the standard that the new NSX must compete with. I do not think it needs to exceed these performance benchmarks, but it must be competitive with them, if it is to com and respect and more than $100k price.
What has already been pointed out is that in 3...
Check out the 2013 Porsche Boxster with the "NSX like" side profile.
http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/coupes/1201_2013_porsche_boxster/
Considering the Boxster is now 15 years old, it's evolution from the 201 HP anemic "chick car" It was born as, into it's current rather hot "S" setup is...
Re: Need Advice on a '91 NSX for sale by dealer
If you have a job and acceptable credit you can arrange for your own financing through a bank or credit union. The dealer is only going to act as an intermediate to help find you a loan from a lender. You can do this on your own. But be aware...
I suppose this deal is possible, but unless I witnessed the actual sale, I would still be suspect. The car may exist, but does the guy selling it have the right to do so? Is it properly titled? The whole thing could still have been a scam.
But it is interesting that some of the price guides...
Re: Need Advice on a '91 NSX for sale by dealer
Of your list of things to look out for, none of them are the most important. The most important single thing is the accident history. Scraping a spoiler is irrelevant at the price of this car. But a major crash that was not repaired correctly...
I agree that despite what has been said, the NSX is not a sure thing. And what I think will dictate whether it comes to market or not will be if it is able to meet Honda's goal for it as a halo car.
I am not sure that Honda's goals align with many enthusiasts posting here. I do not think Honda...
If you are into steering feel, then the early non power steering NSXs are the ticket. The manual steering is the most "feel" you will ever experience. The downside is that at parking lot speed it is very heavy. But it is full of feel of the road. The other thing that perhaps you will be struck...
All of this price discussion reminds me of when I first started dreaming of owning an NSX back in 1989. I was driving a 1987 Legend Coupe at the time and had read in the car magaizines about the upcoming "sportscar" from Acura. Every time I visited my dealer I would ask for any new information...
Thanks to NSX69 for posting the great photo comparison.
For me, it is not even close. The Lexus while a fun styling exercise is hideous as a final result. The NSX, while sporting a few too many angles and scoops, is definately in the running for my money.
You know, as I consider the possibilities of this technology, I can see that combined with traction control a solution like this essentially drives the car through the corner for you. All the driver has to do is point the car in the desired direction and this system takes over maximizing...
