2022 NSX Type S Registry

Hi everyone new member here. I was the high bidder on the NSX that was just on Cars and Bids (#348) Can someone explain why the vin is 303 but the production number is 348? I'm a little confused. Anyway I'm not a flipper just adding to my collection. TIA.

Hi @lakings10, welcome and congratulations. Posting #351 has the best explanation. Put simply #348 is suspected to be one of the 5 cars allocated to the corporation. 300 were allocated to the US Market through dealership sales ranking, followed by 15 to Canada and 30 to Japan. With 350 total globally, that left these 5. The reason for the VIN difference is because how the first 345 cars and in particular the number of the us cars were numbered. US was 1-300 with VINs ending in the same car #. However, car numbers 301 to 330 went to Japan and 331 to 345 went to Canada. What we've seen is the corporate 5 cars follows sequentially after the first 300 produced. This means the VINs will end from 301 to 305. However, the production numbers run from 345 to 350. We've already seen 301, 303 and 304 with production numbers 346, 348 and 349, respectively. Hope this helps.

Solid example and a nice spec. I prefer the solid leather seats. Congrats and welcome to the club.

Our company owns Type S #223. To help complete the options data for the tracker page, it has orchid interior, lightweight package, black calipers, gloss black wheels, and XM.

Also, I'm actively looking to purchase additional Type S' in different configurations if any members are looking to sell theirs feel free to contact me anytime. Thanks! -Alex

Thanks for posting the options. I’ll include it in the next update to the tracker coming this week.

@BLAZED I think you might have achieved a record here- you joined in 2008 and your first post is almost 15 years later!
The really weird part is I sold a couple of my NA2s on here and have made multiple posts over the years but this was probably 6 or 7 years ago, and now it shows I have no previous posts. Has Prime changed or been overhauled and all older data was lost? Very strange.

Did you change your username? It might not have picked up your historical posts. I can check for you- LMK

You might want to post your contact info. Because your account is currently categorized as "New Member", no one can PM you.

All Canadian cars came fully loaded by default. Only options were XM radio, paint color and leather color/material. And since the Canadian cars got built first, we had no issues with the carbon parts.
thanks for confirming

The mystery of the final 5 VINs allocated to the "corporation" is still not completely solved. As previously, noted in posting #351, we are getting physical confirmation on the production numbers, #346, #347, #348, #349 and #350. We have confirmed VIN numbers for #346 and #348. What's new is production number 347. It has now been confirmed and seen up on social media in several places (ECR and Instagram). Its 130R White with Shark Gray Matte wheels, iron rotors with red calipers and red Alcantara interior. Photo credit goes to Zanardi NSX Registry

Here's a photo montage of #346, #348, #350. How interesting that the last cars are 130R White!
