ABS high pressure hose

I checked my 60K service records and did not see my ABS hose replaced. I called the dealer and he said they inspect the hose and if it looks good they do not replace it. This sounds lame to me. How can they inspect the inside of the hose? What do you guys think? Just have it replaced, period? Thanks Mike
