Anyone installed a Radar Detector?

Not really I paid a shop to put in a full K40 system. Much more sensitive/accurate and also stealthier than a mirror-mount detector. Worthy of this high-tech car in my opinion.

We are doing a full Escort setup as a stealth install and this will be easily a couple days of hard work. These full systems are great for sensitivity and range but the negative is they are not mobile if you wanted to take it to another car or say a rental car.

So, do the detectors really work?????? If you're doing 155 in a 55mph zone, and your detector goes off, you're screwed. Unless there is jamming technology??? I'm just unknowing when it comes to high end radar set ups......

Does radar pass thru the windshield without a problem? Many windshields have a coating on them that blocks signals, and the only place detectors work is up by the mirror where the little black dots are.

Wondering where the best spot to put a V1 is. I currently have it above the mirror looking thru the black dots, but wondering if I should have it directly below the mirror instead.

Thoughts????
