Black Mirrors on Non-Black NSXs

Everyone is different - otherwise we'd all listen to BOC & Dream Theater, drink Shiner Bock and live at my house. I've always liked the looks of the pre-1995 black roof cars far better then the color matched versions. Along with that, the black mirrors of the NSX-R look so "correct", I took the opportunity of having my doors apart a while back to paint mine...and as I suspected, it looks (to me) like they should have been that way all along.

Post your black mirror pics here, or present your case why I'm wrong. Wouldn't be the first time...

I have Procar CF mirrors not installed yet, but will be installed probably this winter. I agree it looks like it belongs on the car.

I like the black mirror look, but it's only really "correct" on the 2002+ NSX-R. The first generation NSX-R had body colored mirrors.

There should be a 'White Wheel' thread if there isn't one...looks rockin' on some cars, crap on others. What a subjective world we live in.

i've been wanting that look for awhile now. kept looking for a nice set of oem black mirrors to pop up. Thought about getting my stock one wrap in vinyl, glossy black but i've seen some wrapped work and well, no pleased.

I had the black mirrors, but I wasnt feeling it and went back to red. Black top is a must and was an added feature to the cost.

I'm not sure I'm feeling the black mirrors (stock ones, anyway) as they jut out of the door. If they were attached to the pillars I might feel differently. Anyhow, it's just a minor cosmetic detail and something for those of you that like to change things up.

another version, i sometimes think i should put the red OEM ones back on so it looks more original but i was trying to shave weight

CF falls into that 'mostly black' category...and I agree, it looks great but I think if you have no other CF details, they may look a bit out of place.
