Rooski Innovations is pleased to provide yet another creative method of putting use to the limited space in the first generation Acura NSX!

The Clock Insert Replacement fully replaces the clock piece in the vehicle, providing a mounting point for any of your devices. You simply pull out the stock clock piece, unplug the clock from the vehicle, and slide the Clock Insert Replacement in. The Insert has tabs to make sure it stays in place in the vehicle during any style of driving. The Insert is designed so that you can still remove it to use the stock clock piece whenever you desire.

The Clock Insert Replacement features curves to match the curvature of the NSX dashboard.

Available attachments for the Clock Replacement include a GPS Phone Mount and a GoPro Mount.

The GPS Phone Mount simply slides into the Insert for a sturdy connection. The Clock Replacement GPS Phone mount is designed to hold any phone or device at a level that is closer to the line of sight to the road, as well as an angle that is biased towards the driver. This keeps the driver's eyes at a safer and more comfortable position for GPS use of their device.

The mount is also available in an extended version, which brings the mount 4 1/2" closer to the driver for additional comfort.
The holder can hold devices as narrow as 2 1/4″ to as wide as you like!
The design features a spring-return clamping system that holds any device. The spring is easily changed out upon the user’s discretion. This mechanism features a guide slot to track the arm of the clamp.

The GoPro Mount also simply slides into the Insert for a sturdy connection. The Clock Replacement GoPro Mount is designed to directly pair with any standard GoPro mount to utilize their camera for purposes such as a dash-cam or racing cam.The mount includes the cap nut on the end for direct mounting capabilities. The mounting screw is not included in the purchase of the GoPro Mount.

All Clock Insert Replacement components and attachments are made from 3D printed ABS plastic.

Very nice! Any plans for making an Escort radar mount?

I didn't have any originally; I didn't even consider a mount for radar detectors because I don't use one.
However, I'm glad you bring it up! I should have one designed to fit any of the detectors sometime next week (they're all similar sizes and I can make a universal spring mount, similar to my phone mounts). Will keep you updated as it's completed!

The Radar Mount is available! It will level in the vehicle as seen below. I looked at all of the available radar detectors on the market: this will fit all of them! I can't physically test, but will dimensionally fit the entire range of detectors (Escort and Valentine).
The mount pictured does not show the spring slider, but will operate the same way as the GPS Phone holders, with a spring loaded wall clamp.

The Radar Mount will cost the same as a GPS Phone mount: $15

Given how low nsx is placing radar detector at this level greatly reduced op range.

I don't have a reference since I don't have personal experience using any of the mounts. If there's a way it'll be less reduced if I raise up the mount a bit, I can do that. Other than that, I don't know if there's much else for me to provide without having an unsightly bar or something similar stick WAY up from the dash.

I'm always open to suggestions!

Look for solutions that mount to rear view mirror steam. Just to explore better options.

PM sent! This is actually part of the new 3D printing services I have begun to offer through my site. Look forward to helping you out!

Can I email you something I need copied in a 3D printer? I was going to use one of the online options but i'd love to support an NSXPrime vendor instead. Please PM me if this is something we can look into.

If you mean 200-300 degrees in Fahrenheit, then I think there should be no issues. ABS glass transition temp (when it will get soft) is around 105C (221F). 'Melting' point is about 200C (392F). So there's a chance the piece may soften up, depending on the bay temp, but I don't see it melting if bay temps don't get past 300F.

Got your PM. One quick question! Do you know what is the melting point of the 3D printer plastic media? Can it hold up to maybe 200-300 degrees? Engine bay or being in direct sunlight (i.e. on the dashboard) is my concern.
