Engine noise or paranoid!

My engine has always sounded like this since the day I bought it . I sent the video to a prospective buyer and he said that the engine sounds funny but I told him that is just the way the in Nsx engine sounds. Paranoid or what!

Sounds like a finely tuned Nsx motor to me. Maybe he should lay off the meth.:biggrin:

Do you have the new style LMA's? It's hard to tell, but it sounds like a lot a valve train noise.

That's the patented Honda sewing machine sound! Completely normal.

The buyer is trying to niggle you to lower the buying price.

Thanks for the responses guys, the car is getting the timing belt/water pump, valve cover gaskets, etc done this week, and if they need to be adjusted he will complete that as well.

If you have the old style LMA's I suggest you have them replaced with the new style. I guarantee the old ones are sticking and making noise.

Apparently every single one of my valves were loose, all nice and tight now!

As long as their not "too tight". You'll have a whole new set of issues.
