I'm by no means a critic of any talent- but I've found that I am able to recognize the different tastes of scotches more easily than any other alcoholic beverage- save for beer.

Actually add black maple hill rye on there but not the Kentucky one. I only have the Oregon

I enjoy various single malt scotches in general. My personal favorite would be Talisker 10 year old or if you want to really indulge here's a bottle of the 25 year old I had at my wedding

I second your choices and will add Hakushu 12yr and Yamazaki 12yr/18yr.

Can't go wrong with JW Blue. When I went to England this year I picked up some Chapter 14 from The English Wiskey Co. England's oldest distillery. Chapter 14 won the "Best Whisky in Europe, 2015" and its pretty awesome stuff.

Anyone have the high west collection of bourbon and is it any good? Had someone trying to sell me the other day. I've never heard of it before.

Just had a chance to try the van winkle 12 yr special reserve and the William Laurie Weller.

Both very different. Liked the William Laurie Weller more maybe because the proof was higher and had more flavor.
