actually, if you know what goes into making a wheel, most wheels are overpriced. The margins are fairly high with many "high-end" brands, and that is why there are so many manufacturers that come into the business. Yes, there are wheels that are built better than others but there is not always a correlation between quality and price.
Many wheels are sold based solely on some reputation they develop on the internet. Similar to many "JDM" parts that are insanely overpriced.
