i'm having bad flashbacks of my car buying experience. Same thing happened except my engine had internal terminal damage when I purchased it that couldn't be caught with a cpo.
long story short, it came down to this: either pay to sue, or pay to replace engine. I did option 2 rather than deal with the hassel of trying to sue a dealership 1500 miles away.
I'm sorry to hear about your situation. It sucks. Keep on the dealer, contact (or threaten to contact) the BBB about the situation... do whatever you can.
And keep whatever records of the ad stating no paintwork previous accidents etc.
Also - did the car come with a "Warranty" or "As-is" tag in the window? There is fine print on there... basically my understanding was that as long as the car is not being advertised "as-is" then you have more leverage over the dealership so you might want to look into that.
