Took off the tweed and had them cleaned, waiting on new foam inserts from Recaro

Super rare! I got a pair from the last year they were made, taken out of an 01 ITR

Amazing work man! What LEDs did you end up getting for the front corner light? Did you go with LEDs for the turn signal too?

Paint was done at H and H in Oakland. Sorry guys I have been busy on vacation and doing family stuff. I just got my bride rails in 2 weeks ago for the Recaros, I just haven't had to time to install everything yet.

Love the way your car looks!

Glad you stuck with the pop-up headlights and like the way you combined NA1 and NA2 elements.

And what a transformation from when you first started.

I used some pretty big smd LED bulbs for the front bumper turn signals, the fender side markers I used a regular wedge bulb (The smd leds do not look right through an orange lens)

The SRD's fit pretty snug in the both the thighs and side bolsters, I am 5 11" 150 lbs. You prolly lose moving around room

is there more head/leg room with these seats installed? I'm 6'2" and need every inch of space possible...

two of my local friends have this seat in their NSX. Looks great!

however, my hair already touches the roof inside. There's no way I could get my helmet in there. Do you have any idea if Recaro has thinner bottom cushions for these? If so, it's be a no brainer purchase for me!

Just an amazing transformation. I love it.

How do the tweeters sound mounted there? I'm currently at a standstill w/ my interior torn out. I don't want to mount them in the door either and I love where you chose but what do you honestly think of the sound staging from that location?

After driving my car some more with the SRD's, I Feel there is a lot more leg room than the stock seats... Maybe just my imagination

I think the tweeter location is fine; however, my center speaker between the seats I think is messing up the sound staging.

Awesome results on this project.

As I'm in the process of repainting my NSX, I'm preparing a lot of it myself and having a good spraypainter do the painting. I wondered with your paint job, I notice that you painted the rear guards on the car in place, and the front ones off the car. Did you have any problems with the reassembly fitment (ie. marking the paint on the new finish) and also what did you do about the 10mm bolts that hold the front guards to the car? Were they brush touched later on? Can you send me a pic of the final result? Also how did the paint in the door jambs go around where the rear guard meets the body? (in the small gap there)

I'd like to end up with an OEM-as-possible result with my repaint and was interested to see how others do it.

Cheers!

I have put these in a few NSX's (including mine at one point) and I cut the foam down to 1/2 thickness - this gave me more headroom than I could use, they sit very low.

For those who are wider, I actually had the DC5 recaros in mine and it was almost roomy...
