Re: Rare '91 Silver/Ivory

Try finding one of the only 6 Silver/Ivory NSX's with a manual transmission. That is my unicorn! :)

Sometimes I see all these beautiful pics of cars here on prime and I think that silver is kinda boring....then I go home and see her sitting in the garage...and it's all good.

Hey guys,

I have a '92 Sebring Silver that I purchased last year. It is a Canadian car and everything was original...even had the titanium key with it. It only has 37,000 km on it. It is an awesome colour and my favourite. It looks great with my WW front and side skirts and my Volk Racing CE28N 18/19 wheels.

Cheers,
D...

Add me to the list. I bought mine from Cooper in Colorado back in Nov 06', who only had it for a couple months. Jonathan was the primer that had all the work done to her, including the SOS Stereo. My Sebring is still a star on the SOS site..lol:

Jonathan had the interior trim painted Sebring Silver to match the outside. A very classy touch IMHO, and I'm pretty conservative.

Great question about how many are left. I remember seeing that video clip of the guy totalling (assumed totalled) his Sebring Silver at the track. I wonder if there is a way to tell how many are left..?

I had a 1991 Sebring Silver until a few months ago (I think - I can't recall when I sold it). It has over 340,000 miles on the clock. It had solid compression and leak down numbers. The suspension was basically new throughout. I reworked the interior (leathers, stereo, speakers, CCU, etc.) The motor had so many goodies (new injectors, blah blah blah) that the only thing left to do was the long block. The paint was fair on it's best days and the nose cone looked like, to quote a fellow Primer, someone took a brillo pad to it. I loved the car. Fast, tight, honest and straight. I miss her. I send a note to the new owner about once a quarter to offer to buy it back. No way, Jose is all I hear.

Just to correct some of the original post the gentleman stating he believes there were 3XX Sebring Silver is correct. The NSX quantity color chart for some reason lumps Silverstone and Sebring Silver in the same line. They stopped making Sebring Silver in the US after 1993. There was that one special case in 1996 I believe were someone ordered a Sebring Silver but that was a special case situation from what I remember. So Sebring Silver is actually a rare color in the US. Not the case outside the US where it was made up until 2005.

I bought that 1991 last year, 1 of 3 for the Canadian market that year. I really enjoy it!
