Sold my 2005 NSX!

A few photos!

I am having a difficult time driving it as my ding-dong won't go down and keeps interferring with the steering wheel! The Tubi's work better than my Viagra prescription!

Funny story...was driving down I-17 and a family van pulls up along side of me. Two women (mothers) in their late 30's are hanging out of their windows giving me the "thumbs up" sign. Kids were in the back wondering what had gotten into their mothers. Hilarious!

I like the color combo. The prancing horse is well known by milfs and gold diggers worldwide. The nsx often causes mental confusion and is thus deleted in the oportunistic mind:biggrin:

I love this quote... such a Sheldon from Big Bang Theory response!

I have to defend Rob and the 360 as I recently did the same. Sold my 2000 CTSC NSX late last year, and after a long search, (I did not want an F1 tranny) picked up a 360 Modena recently. Red/black, 6 speed manual.

I have owned 2 NSX's. I loved them. Still do. But the Ferrari experience is head and shoulders above the NSX, even with the supercharger. The feel, looks, sound, it's just in a different league. Yes, when things go wrong it's not cheap, but the 360 is good as far as Ferrari's go. As long as you drive them and don't let them sit, they have a very good reputation. I think the garage queens that develop issues create most of the "It has 5000 miles and cost me a fortune" crap. For a long time I wanted an F355. That was a problematic car, and I saw tons with repairs more than the value of the car. That is almost unheard of with the 360. I am glad I spent a few extra bucks now on the 360.

I would say my 360 and my CTSC NSX are very close in terms of power. I am content with the power of either. I have no hard numbers, just personal impressions, so which is really faster I can't say. But there is just something magic about the Ferrari overall. Razor sharp steering, amazing high speed stability, and it's solid as a bank vault. It is a very exciting ride out of the box. My NSX had 30 grand worth of Comptech goodies and it still didn't give you goosebumps like the 360 does. I never understood the chatter about the "Ferrari soul" until now. There is something to it.

Rob, I know you will enjoy your 360 as much as I enjoy mine. It's a blast, and I have no regrets. Best of luck with it, it's a beauty!

Congrats on the car Rob, similar color combo to my 355. I would say that your choice of the 360 is probably going to reward you with less "problems" (read $$$) than a typical 355 - albeit with a higher initial pricetag -

Knowing what I now know, I might have considered bypassing the 355 and getting a 360...

MAYBE.

You're going to love the 360. Far as maintenance goes, its very low by F car standards and something you either get used to or not. (With two mid engine Fcar 12s, I'm envious!)

I drive my NSX a fair amount, and duly enjoy it, but the Fcar will scratch an entirely different itch for you. You did great in purchasing a car with a known and pampered history.

The V8 with a Tubi (have one on the 512TR) is an orchestra every time you drive it, making you dig into the rev band... a lot. I'd get a Valentine V1 if you don't have one already.

Congrats again.

Thanks for all of the positive and nice comments! Chase (Red Wings) came by yesterday and we had beers while staring at the 360.

Indeed, the color combo is perfect and its one of the nicest examples of a 360 I have ever seen, so clean everywhere... the PO took REAL nice care of that one, only add would be a challenge rear grill for more heat removal and you are set.

bottom line if I found any used exotic with that kind of owner/provinance I'd have to buy it:wink:

Love the reinforced foot plate in the passenger footwell.!.!.!. Must be there for a reason...

Congrats Rob, nice talking with you the other day... T.

speaking from experience as a person who currently has both the 360 and the nsx (2), the 360 is far superior in terms of performance..... the 360 turns way more heads and is much more fun to drive.... since march i have put 13k miles on the 360... the car is meant to be driven... with that said, when i still get in either nsx for the occasional drive, they are still great cars.... the comparison here is apples to f-16's... you are comparing a car that hit the market in 1990 to a car that hit the market 10 years later....

a quick note on maintenance for the 360... oil changes are every 15k miles.... it has 3 gallons of oil.... before i got the car the belt service was done... have the rec't for 4 tires and the service, 3k..... and that included spark plugs.... not much more than the nsx...

Why is service so hit or miss on these cars? Some reports are way high and some really low...
