The Last Day Of Summer Sports Car Meet In The O.C. - September 21, 2005 @ 7pm - Newport Bluffs

Well gang, since the July 20th meet turned out to be a memorable one, I have decided it would only be fitting to have one more meet. It will be on the last day of summer oddly enough, so that makes the meet even better. I am hoping we will have an even better turnout this time around. This meet will be open to non-Supra owners again as well. I am going to suggest that everyone try to get there earlier so they don't miss out on anything. For those that are concerned about police presence, we were asked by a couple of officers what was going on, and they were very cool about us hanging out and not causing trouble.
There are plenty of places to eat around the meet, so don't worry about finding food once you're there. It will be decided once we are there whether or not to cruise down to In 'N Out, since some people get hungry and eat early. So this is going to be the the meet before SILV '05 for us So. Cali guys. This is about as far in advance notice as I can give for those who haven't been able to make it out to the previous meets due to work or school. Don't miss what's sure to be the best O.C. meet this side of Crystal Cove! :)

Directions:

You will need to take the 73 Freeway South either from the 405 or the 55 freeways. Once on the 73, you will head south for about 4 miles or so, and your exit will be Bison Ave. Once you exit the freeway, you will see a shopping center to your right, and that is where we will meet.

Here is a Mapquest guide to the Island Burgers that we usually meet in front of:

I'm planning on showing up.

It was awesome turn out. So many awesome cars, tons of awesome looking NSXs, and a lot of nsx owners I have never meet before besides Calvin, Erick, and Aaron.

People were saying nice things about NSX, awesome exhaust note, etc. Unfotunately I had to leave really early, did not have chance to check out all the nsxs.

Yeah, there was definitely a good turnout. I stayed maybe 10 minutes though. Next time I'll have to stay longer.

There were over 125 cars last night in attendance. Lots of people arrived early, but as usual, the Supra guys came fashionably late. The Supra on the bed was setting off every alarm in the parking lot. It sounded like gunshots when he got on it as it backfired and spit huge flames. Some exotics came, lots of Supras, Skyline GT-R's, Scooby's & STi's, Evo's, NS-X's, RX-7's...A bunch of stupid and un-necessary burnouts and loud revving took place, but luckily no cops showed. That's why I don't post on certain forums, to avoid potential problems. All in all, it was by far, the biggest meet I have ever put together, and I hope all of you that came had a great time. I will be posting pics shortly. Thanks guys for your support.

Danny -

Good on you for putting this together.

This isn't meant to be a flame at all so please don't take it as such. But the idiots who behave in the manner that I've quoted you above are the reasons why I don't go to these things anymore. Either I'm getting too old, too conservative, or well... just too old.

It's too bad the adults can't get together without pulling in some of the small genitalia crew by accident.

BTW - these burnouts and other stupid behaviours are the reasons why I haven't been back to CC in a while too.

LOL, that was my cousin, he was leaving autobacs to pick me up, because i was at the paint shop dropping off my car. Thats how im able to bring both cars around.
