Seven NSXs turned up for what was the UK Club's first dyno day.

A mix of standard and non-standard 3.0 & 3.2 cars were tested.

Here are the videos of each one;

Those of you that know my car (J14NSX) from Spa, will now no longer be able to complain that my car is too quiet! That is a TAITEC JGTC system with no cats. I have headers waiting to be installed. My car peaked at 279bhp at the fly with 210ft/lbs. So at least the money being spent is doing something.

I didn't take any photos, but I'm sure some people will add some.

Hi Kevink

Congrats on your power output. Nice to hear (literally :biggrin: ) your car again, sounds great. Have just added the Taitec GTLW myself and the sound is awesome. Wait until you get the headers. But you really should dyno it again after installing those, would be very interested in hearing the results.
Are you planning any other power-trian mods apart from the headers ??
And what were the results of the other cars and (if at all) what mods did they have ??

BTW, am missing a very big rear spoiler somewhere ??

Hi Maarten,

I have the headers in the garage, I haven't had time to put them on yet. The rear wing is only used for track days, otherwise I put the standard one back on.

This is my 3.2 Targa, video courtesy of Kevin (J14).

Engine mods are Haywood & Scott exhaust on std headers and cats
Procar CF airbox and AI Scoop

The car is now run on 99 Octane and I've reset the ECU to make the best use of the new fuel and breathing.

Results were very pleasing with 289bhp at 6824rpm, and 224 lbs/ft torque. On the road the NSX feels smoother with response lower in the rev range improved. Its also hitting peak power earlier/quicker which makes the car feel quicker too :cool:

So a very satisfying day for me and clearly the better sounding system :wink: :biggrin:

regards

Very nice results. It looks like the 3.0 with a few modifications are very similar to the 3.2 models. Am looking forward to your results with the headers installed.
