Hi Guys.
What is the best way to remove residual wax in the fine seams? I dare not use a toothbrush (too hard) and rag and MF towel edges can;t seam to get in the tiny crevices.

Thanks all in advance for your imput...

Use a children's "soft" toothbrush and spray a small amount of water in the seam first.

If you really want to go overboard use a can of dust remover spray (air) to dry out the seam when you are done.

Method 1:
We use our instant detailer and a microfiber to remove wax and other residue from crevices. If you still can't get to it, use a microfiber wraped around a popsicle stick or smaller stick (someone suggested a toothpick but make sure it doesn't poke through the MF), spray some of the instant detailer on the tip and go over the crevices. This is a longer process but you'll get good results.

Method 2:
While you wash your car, spray a orange degreaser into the crevice and use a wet detail brush (ours is soft and safe and will not scratch)to agitate and then rinse with a strong stream of water (we use a pressure washer). We use this method to remove waxes. polish and compounds people leave behind on their emblems, etc.

Prevention:
When detailing a car, use 3M masking tape to mask off plastic, rubber, emblems(if you can't remove them easily like our Acura and Honda emblems). When waxing, be careful not to apply wax across fender lines (go parallel to the lines) and don't wax too close to emblems, side markers, etc...

Don't:
Use a toothbrush, even children's toothbrushes as they will scratch your paint.

Hope this helps.

I stand by my toothpick comment! I mean come on. We're working INSIDE a seam. Scratch? Jeez. Just be gentle and remove the wax.

Or wait, get a Q-tip and remove 60% of the cotton by grasping it and spinning 2.5 times. Then dip it half way (no more!) into some orange degreaser mixed 50:50 with apple vinegar. If you dip it too far...forget it, start over. Now wait 45 seconds then dip it the rest of the way in Murphy's Oil Soap. Oh and did I mention that you must have the Q-tips with the blue plastic...It will soften with teh orange degreaser/Murphy's mix to a hardness of 0.01108, um, hardness units...Viagras? I think... Anyhow, now gently scrape off the wax residue in a forward sweeping motion. Don't stop half-way! If you do everyone will know and...

I'm going to continue to use toothpicks.
