I watch little TV these days and have become increasingly disillusioned with the "stuff" one picks up with an antenna (I don't have or want cable). So, I mostly watch movies that I buy here and there when I need a break. Last night, I though about what my top 5 movies of all time list is. My two criteria were (1) most evocative and/or (2) most enjoyable.

Upon studying my movie picks, I realized my choices reflected on my behavioral traits and how I think, a little anyway. That is, it was a more interesting task than I thought it would be. I'm in human resources and enjoy the behavioral aspects of my profession. So, here is my list. I'll be curious if this thread is DOA or stimulates a good response.

  1. 2001: A Space Odyssey
  2. The Matrix
  3. Avatar
  4. The Wizard of OZ
  5. A Beautiful Mind

Its hard to pick only 5:smile:

1. Blow
2. Braveheart
3. Dumb and Dumber
4. Shawshank Redemption
5. The Pursuit of Happyness

Hard to pick five, and it's always a moving target for me, but here goes:

1) Lawrence of Arabia
2) The Godfather
3) Lord of the Rings trilogy (I consider it one very long movie)
4) 2001: A Space Odyssey

2) Horny Young Co-Eds 2
3) Horny Young Co-Eds 3

1) Horny Young Co-Eds 1

I think I've done this before on Prime, but I'll play along since it may have changed. In no particular order:

Blade Runner: The Director's Cut
Gladiator
Avatar
Star Wars Classic Trilogy (The Empire Strikes Back being my fave)
The Lord of the Rings Trilogy (The Return of the King being my fave)

Ugh...limiting it to 5 leaves out a lot of my favorites including Alien, Aliens, Back to the Future, Batman: The Dark Knight, Braveheart, Forrest Gump, Princess Bride, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Saving Private Ryan, Schindler's List, Shawshank Redemption, Terminator, T2: Judgment Day, When Harry Met Sally...and a large number of animated movies including Disney's Beauty and the Beast and everything Pixar (especially the three Toy Stories, Incredibles, Ratatouille, and Up). And this is just what comes off the top of my head.
