Where are all the Production deliveries ??

Is it true that Honda is no longer selling the NC1 in Europe? A reliable source posted it in another thread.

There's no evidence of that which I can find. Nobody is saying this anywhere else on-line. Additionally all of the Honda web sites in Europe that I looked at continue to advertise the car and the European on-line configurator is still working....

https://www.honda.de/cars/new/nsx/overview.html#configurator/hub
https://www.honda.nl/cars/new/nsx-2017/overview.html
https://www.honda.no/cars/new/nsx-2017/overview.html
https://auto.honda.fr/cars/new/nsx/overview.html
https://www.honda.co.uk/cars/new/nsx/overview.html

I thought Honda continued to sell the NA1/NA2 in Europe until the very end. Am I wrong? So it's not like they have a history of withdrawing the NSX from specific countries when sales are low. Unlike the Corvette, the NSX is solely a halo car and not a money maker. So different rules apply. I think it makes sense to continue to offer it in Europe regardless of the sales.

I was just repeating something posted in another thread about the "jack points" for the NC1.

I think the YOY bump was related to the new color that grabbed some attention. Otherwise, I agree with Bricks & Bio, things aren't getting better overall. They are rolling into the 4th year of production and interest isn't really improving. Interestingly, the Lexus coupe LC500 isn't selling well in hybrid format. Hmmm. Guess all those who said that people in this market strata don't care about hybrid drivetrains may have been correct.

They are barely building 20 a month on average. How much longer does Acura stay in the game?

Its all about the end product. sex sells. big HP numbers/dick swinging contest. buyers dont care HOW they get there, hybrid, TT, SC, NA, rocket power, turbine, etc.

i'd be curious what exactly is Honda's bottom line. We learned in 2018 they were willing to discount $25-30k?

This has been said before... if this is truly their halo car, why don't they discount it more and just get more of the damn things on the road for marketing and brand enhancement.

If someone would care to oblige... what's the going rate/range these are selling for in the used market? have they fallen below $90k? $100k? yet...?

Supposedly cheapest at auction have been 110 ish. I suspect 90k is a bottom for 17s in the short term. I also expect the new vette to start delivering some downward pressure on prices. Of course I have prof of this just me rambling.

The used market is now in the low $100’s but knowing
- C8’s are about to hit ground floor at $60k
- F430 Ferrari in great shape can be had at low $80k’s (true selling price)
- 458’s now in low $150k’s (selling price) and about to do another drop due to F8 Tributo’s hitting ground floor and folks will dump more 458’s in market soon

The NSX 2017’s in 5k-15k mile range will be around $95k around August of 2020.

This is just based on my hunting for the cars above getting true prices, offers and looking at trends in the market.

Porsche's sport cars are taking a USA sales hit.......granted the new 992 was just arriving - Cayenne SUV's are saving the day.

Thanks to JLCoolman for confirming the Gen 2 NSX will be in F9.

The update:

The PMC built TLX is perceived as getting a bit more use from the factory and trying to associate the TLX with the big sibling NSX

Honda perceives cars sales will decline, so don't over invest and get burned. Money that is spent will go to electrification. Honda is behind on this as it is careful not to move into new stuff until/unless they believe it will work out. No stomach for other performance cars at this point. Customers will have to make due with an upgraded TLX that will come out (turbo).

2020 NSX will have changes similar in scope to 2019 changes.

C8 Vette does not appear to be on their radar.

About half the recalls have been done. Lease holders don't seem to care so not bringing them in.

Trunk smell has been addressed in 2019s by baking/degassing the tub prior to installation.

Scale model program dropped due to quality of models and relationship issue with vendor. Honda rejected a batch toward the end of the program. People who didn't get their model got a pen (I can see some grumping there).

They know about the PPF turning yellow. Possible fix is to have detailer dry a polishing wax type of product to knock off the oxidized layer of the film. I will try this the next time the car goes to Chicago Auto Pros.

Cunningham will do a lap record thing in a production 2019 at the Acura sponsored race this week end.

There have been more test drives associated with nice rich people events like the recent gold tourney at Beth Page. John Watt is hitting a bunch of these to shmooz.

Look for the NSX to be in a high profile video (my guess being a fast and furious).

thought Luder actualy owns one...
