Why buying replica Lambo?

i cant stand why somebody would ever drive one of those, i would drive a 1992 honda civic dx before one of those replica cars, i mean how..... why.... wtf pretty much sums it up.

17k though too bad nsxnic isnt around he could finance(errr:i mean pay in cash) that car too

Yeah those are pretty stupid, but there is a company here in town building a Diablo kit. It's completely out of Lambo parts. It's a lambo frame, the only thing different is they are putting a Z06 motor in it and throwing the Lambo manifold cover on it so you can't tell when you lift the hood. They say it will probably have a little more power than the lambo motor, it's more reliable, and you can get it serviced at any Chevy dealership. I'm telling you, this Diablo looks totally bad and you CAN NOT tell anything is off kilter unless they tell you. I mean it's really not except for the motor. You really think this car looks like crap?

Interesting moment at the Keels and Wheels concourse last summer near Houston.
The first thing to know is that this show caters to serious exotics, and classic cars. It takes place on the grounds of a yacht club, and it costs $30 to get in the door and look at the vehicles entered in the event.

A guy enters his kit Lambo in this event and tries to put it amongst the legitimate Italian Exotics.

He was hilariously shunned

I can't imagine what he was thinking.

LOL!!! What a great movie

These are pretty bad ass replicas!!!! I would drive it...

I don't get the point of building replicas. You don't get the power, you don't get the handling, you get somewhat of the look but it doesn't look quite right, it's always a little off and misaligned, like the one in the OP eBay auction, and anyone who knows cars would immediately call shenanigans if they saw one. I'd say it's a poseur thing. If you're gonna make a kit, make it look like no other car, don't be a wannabe F-Car or a Lambo owner! Frankly, one of the worst replicas I've seen was the NSX with the F50 conversion. How much drugs must one take to come up with that? I liked the white NSX that was up for sale here, it had a very original body kit that looked hot and wasn't a replica of any other car! That's mom approved right there!

That's just my opinion though, I prefer originality when it comes to projects. My favorite must be the Civette. That's one of the most bad ass cars I've ever seen.
