Dear PrimeMembers,
After 2 weeks of shootings, I have finally released the WINDOW KIT INSTRUCTIONS movie :biggrin::biggrin:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SSzUMkjHv5w

Music is from the Portuguese dj Rui da Silva, hope you like it!

Message is clear: if a 6 years old girl could do it, YOU can do it:wink:!
Have fun!
Hugo

muahahahahahah.... only you to come up with a "in your face" instructions :biggrin::biggrin:

i only have one question though: when you install the last thing inside the motor, the spring, don't you contract it a bit before attach it to the axle's top?!

Nuno

Cool, can't wait for my sets to get here.

Bryan

synergy004: you have PM! What a great build you are doing:biggrin:!!
NSXclear: movies and actress have special laws:biggrin:
ChopsJazz: you can always reduce the volume and play a different music style! I wanted to use Rammstein..but fond this Portuguese "youtube tipical song" more suitable, especially because of the lyrics
Unhuz: yes, you must pre-load it with a 540º angle (1 turn and 1/2), as described earlier in the post.

Look forward to get all your feedbacks
Cheers
Hugo

The kit is $50 per side shipped to the USA right ?
If so I'll one.
Please see my question in your DIY thread about excessive wire tension after I put in the Dali window fix it thingies.

lightguy: that is correct! you have PM.
If there is excessive cable tension after any modification, you should always open the motor and release some tension to avoid future failure.

Hugo,
I had a difficult time with the reassembly and didn't get the tension right.

Could you send your daughter over to help me? I think I need an experienced pair of hands to get it right!

I'm trying it again today.

ChopsJazz: make sure the short cable goes into the last groove of the lower core part when you join the 2 core parts, this is quite tricky as you won't notice it's not in place!
I found it to be easier with a fixing tool (like the red one from the movie) because it also helps to pull the lower core part and not just fix it.

Hugo,
Sent payment by pay pal on May 25th. What kind of delivery should I expect.
Thanks again for the research and development. Dan (GRNSX)

Dan, you should receive it this week, depending on customs and USA post service as it is already in the US since Saturday according to its Tracking Number.

Truth is that I ran out of stainless steel washers, each kit uses 2 of them, that makes 4 of them/set!
These washers are not available in the market due to their size, I had to order them from France, they are used mainly to make thru-hull repairs in fiberglass boats, so I could only ship the last kits early last week, yours was one them...

Hugo, the info below is CRUCIAL!
I had to go back and redo my efforts twice before I figured out what the problem was.
Now it's great though!
Thanks for a great effort making this project happen.
