So again , I will ask - if I have new regulators with no wear , can I install the pulley without disassembling the motor?

Hugabuga,

i'd like to get this kit as well. please PM me payment amount and paypal address.

its summertime and i need my windows working well! ;)

Thanks!

silvermullet: you have PM!

angus: that is be impossible because the pulley is located about 5mm lower than the plastic guide to avoid it from touching the regulator lever in the full opened window position.
So you "need" twice these extra few mm of cable (=10mm) and for that you need to open the motor and readjust the cable length.

You could relocate the pulley higher if you remove its "T-shaped" washer, but then you won't be able to fully open the window for about 5mm and the regulator lever would touch the pulley and use it as a "bumpstop"...but in that case, yes it could be done without opening the motor as cable length would remain the same...

Hi Hugo,

I upgraded my driver side window regulator but having some real difficulty with the reinstall.
The problem I'm having is getting the two bolts at the top of the regulator on the window guide rght below the window back in, I cant get my hands in far enough to find and see the bolt holes. Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Michael

Hi Michael!
-Make sure regulator is not at its fully upper position when you fit it back in the door!. When you took it out, its position was determined by the upper window stops and not the maximum height of the regulator like the one you used to pre-load the rotary spring before closing the motor
-Do not tight the 4 regulator bolts before fitting these 2, this will help you to adjust the regulator until you reach the bolt holes.
-One of the 2 screw has in fact more room to fit there your hand or a tool. You can put there just 1 screw, tight it securely, remove the tapes and lower the window until you can reach the 2nd screw as described in the NSX manual.

Hope this was of any help!
Cheers
Hugo

There is an access hole in the lower part of the door that makes it easier to reinstall the bolt for the window. Lower the regulator to line up with the hole. Lower the window by hand and insert the right bolt first. This is easiest as you can access it from the large opening. Use a short extension and secure the other bolt through the smaller hole.
