Windscreen Wipers

Hi,

Just a quick question to see if its just me.

Does anyone have problems with their windscreen wipers at high speed ?

Mine are brand new but only work on the up-stroke, ie with the airflow. The downstroke completely fails to clear the screen.

I'm going to try the wipers with aerofoils on them..

One of your wiper arms should already have an airfoil (aerofoil) attached. Without it, the wiper arms will indeed not touch the windscreen at speed. Someone may have replaced the entire blade assembly.

Once you replace the wiper arms with stock ones, you should not have to ever replace them again. If the wiper blades lose their effectiveness after a few years, you can replace the rubber insert (the thin piece of rubber) rather than the entire wiper arm. The rubber inserts are inexpensive - roughly US$7 each.
