zanardi nsx roll call

Nope to much, plus it does not need a supercharger.

Update on #10 I duno what this means

OUR AUCTION LIST THIS CAR AS HAVING A SALVAGE TITLE, BUT THE MICHIGAN TITLE WE HAVE FROM THE PREVIOUS OWNER IS CLEAR. CARFAX LIST CAR HAS BEING IN AN ACCIDENT OR "OTHER INCIDENT" IN 2003, BUT IT HAS NEVER BEEN WRECKED. THE CAR WAS PURCHASED BY A THIEF IN 2003 WITH A BOGUS CHECK AND BEFORE THE SCAM WAS CAUGHT, THE THIEF HAD RESOLD THE CAR TO A FLORIDA DEALER WHO FOUGHT THE INSURANCE COMPANY WHO WANTED IT BACK FOR OVER A YEAR. THE CARFAX SHOWS THE CAR BEING STOLEN IN 2004, BUT THAT IS FROM WHEN THE INSURANCE COMPANY FINALLY GOT THE CAR FROM THE FLORIDA DEALER AND REPORTED IT AS A SALVAGE CAR BECAUSE THEY HAD ALREADY PAID THE INSURANCE CLAIM TO THE ORIGINAL OWNER FOR THE THEFT. SO, IN A NUTSHELL, THE CAR IS PERFECT, NEVER WRECKED, AND HAS A CLEAR MICHIGAN TITLE. THERE IS MORE SO CALL ME FOR DETAILS

How did the 'schill bids' get erased and this thing is back down to $40k?

I have never seen that before?

Seller said buyer contacted them to remove their bids.
Open the auction, click on the bids button and scroll all the way down and you can see the cancelled bids and reasons..

Do they really think they can get 65K for this car? shrugs, not for me to worry about.

How many Zinardis are we down to, Hope no more gets wrecked I want one :frown:

I looked over #10 at NSXPO, very nice. I remember I got on the way home from the Lamborghini dealership and followed the owner back to the hotel. It was a nice run to turn around and catch up with the pack  Looked very nice overall, but I didnt do a real serious inspection. I was in the process of making a real deal Zanardi registry but have been sidelined due to my busy schedule and what not. Im on car #9 and have records from Honda Motor Company, Carfax, Autocheck and some other insider information.

On a side note, Im supposed to be picking up my number #24 right around memorial day weekend, Im so excited. Im sure once my Zanardi comes home I'll regain a serious interest in the database and keeping the heritage of this sick factory hot rod:biggrin:

Based on my latest tally, at least two have been stolen, two salvaged, 13 wrecked (or some known repaint), and two with odometer rollback issues. At least 28 of the 50 have more than 20,000 miles, and some of the other 22 have an unknown number of miles (could be high or low).

#26 in semi-long term preservation with ~15,400 miles

This would be a wild guess, but how about Shigeru Uehara?

My other guesses would be:
Alex Zanardi
Ayrton Senna
Bobby Rahal
Colin Edwards
Eddie Jordan
Jensen Button
Kelvin Burt
Rick Mears

Otto

Jeremy Mc Grath owned one when he was racing for Honda. He even mentioned it in his book "Wide Open"

Well, it looks like the price is back down to just over $41k, so I may jump back in. It says the reserve price is still not met though. Anyone know their reserve?

Their reserve was the price it was at before all the phony bids were cancelled. What was it at, 60K? That person just kept bidding until he hit the reserve.

Good stuff Bob, we need to keep track of these babies.

Hey guys sorry to ask but does anyone here know the paint code for the Zanardi wheels? I tried the Acura dealer ship and there's no info. I really want to paint my OEM wheels the same color but not having any luck:frown:

Purchased #49 Zanardi with salvage title. JH4NA2125XT000176
Now it's a nice little car after putting $$$$ and all of my weekends.

The story is that it was wrecked (left rear quarter panel) in less then one month old with 311 miles on it.
Second owner who also owns a body repair shop repaired it and sold it to the Third owner (son of a cake mix company Sxxx Lee CEO) for $65,000.00 with 800 miles in 2000.
He drove it for 4 years until he decided to take a short one week vacation in Hawaii.
But he never came back to California and car was parked in his parent's home in Fresno for almost 5 years collecting all the dust, spider web, and etc........
Then his sister moved back from LA to her parent's house and needed more garage space, so she decided to put it on Autotrader without asking her brother for permission.

Yes, It need some $$$$ and sweat but I needed a hobby.

I'm living in Dallas now, the NSX has 26,000 miles. I don't drive it often, but my friend has having a house party with all his Lotus buddies so he asked me to bring it.

Congrats! Glad to hear she is on the road to recovery. Do you have pictures of her current condition? I hope she turns out to be a wonderful car for you.

That second owner must have run a crappy repair shop since the repair looking spotty at best. Just needs a little bit of love though.

How could she (the sister) sell a car that was not hers though?

Here is the link for info. and pictures http://www.nsxprime.com/forums/showthread.php?t=97979

His mother had DMV title and she was able to get power of attorney signed by his son. Everything is cool.

I just ordered all new sheet metals(front and rear fenders) from Japan including front and rear bumbers, will receive them in couple of weeks because I don't like bondo on the car.

Took passenger side seat to upholstery shop and replaced section with duct tape(haha....) for $250.00.

Ordered front lip from Acura dealer.

Ordered and received Zanardi floor mat and shift knob.

Next are BBS Rims and Zanardi trunk mat.

I am also thinking about HKS Hipermax shocks with springs bacause Zanardi suspension is too low for 18" wheels, it's rubbing the fender, I need to increase the height by 1"....any comments? should I or not???

WOW!! This is really great to hear that you are doing this the right way and restoring her with OEM parts. Very cool. As far as the suspension, I would stay the path you are currently on, and put the original Zanardi suspension on there. That is part of what makes that car so special anyway. Keep up the good work!
