Here are some more photos from our fall brunch/cruise to Lake Geneva. A very unique part of this cruise and brunch was the "Missing Man Formation" as depicted in the photographs. In this case it was not a "Missing Man Formation", only 2 MISSING CARS!
I feel the pictures will speak for...
Sorry for your loss but; you were very lucky not to have had a catastrophic failure where most of the engine would have been turned to scrape in a few RPM.
If you would care for my “WAG” based on the photos you have supplied, I am leaning toward the flawed crank theory.
I feel this way...
Dave,
You are welcome; these NSX types are the nicest group of car enthusiasts I have ever known. You fit right in, feel free to drop in any time you may be in the area.
Joe, the pens are terrific!!
It was extremely thoughtful of you provide them.
One of them will become part of my NSX memorabilia collection, Thank You.
I thought I saw Sean and Randy with their wallets out during a conversation with the track official just prior to the Final; I thought he was just checking their driver’s licenses.
I am delighted to have been able to host; I am ready, willing and able to do it again. Cookout anyone?
It is my “good fortune” to own an NSX; it is my privilege to be a member of this club. There may be an open debate about which car is “best overall” but given my experience there is...
Alright then, I feel we are ready on this end.
The NSX posters have all been hung but one.
The deck is functionally complete but no pergola yet.
The bathrooms are all up and working fine!
The lawn has been mowed.
The red car is still up and...
There is not a member of the NSX organization that I have met, that I would have an problem being related to. Everyone has always treated me as member of a "Very Special Family". We may all be a little obsessed with our cars but it is an obsession that all of us understand. I would be as...
There really is a Bob Kenney and I have been a member of the Chicago NSX crew since 2003. I do have a son and am now considering taking applications for a replacement, given he is looking for a replacement father.
I do have two NSX's and have even let Mike (my ex son:rolleyes:) drive...
Ben,
Going back to your original question and the statement you made concerning piston speed; I would like to clarify that the longer stroke means the piston is travelling faster. This is due to the greater distance the piston needs to cover in the same given time.
The BEST Solution is often the simple solution; very simple, very elegant, very nice. It is the time and effort to define the problem, analyze it and design the fix; this where your "Mastery" shows through. BRAVO!!!
Dave,
Thanks for sharing your weather with us here in Chicago; which is now seeming like "The Great White North". I can't wait for spring.
We all agree that turbos make big #s and I am as impressed as I can be with Woody's NSX's drivabilty and dependability but I am still an SC...
Joe you are welcome to come over anytime. The weather, at the present time, is little nasty for a test ride, unless you are Woody driving his All Weather 493 RWHP NSX.
I am in the process of changing clutches, switching engines and making a few additional modification; but by spring...
I own a CTSCed NSX, it is a 92 using the Whipple SC. I have ridden in both Cody's and Woody's cars and just want to state for the record: "There is NO COMPARISON, when speaking of HP output". These turbos are FAR more powerful than than my SCed car on its best day.
Woody's car is so...
The sound of my CTSCs has not been noticed by most of my car friends and therefore I feel they are quiet. I only notice a minor "sweet sound" when over 5500 RPM. But as to your question: "what is the source of the whining sound".
It is my opinion that the whining is coming from the beveled...
I have been reading this thread and its related threads and feel I need to make a comment about Jim [Coz]. These are my experiences and impressions developed during my dealings with Jim.
I first contacted Jim approximately 1 year ago about some parts he had for sale on Prime via email. One...
Stuntman,
If I recall correctly; I believe Rob Morrison's [Racer X-21] NSX was in the 650 HP neighborhood with a SC set-up. He had sent me some specs when he was selling the car.
But to the point; I have ridden in Woody's turbo-ed NSX and I am extremely impressed with the streetability of a...
Ken; I was at both and so was Sean.
I would not miss NSXPO for ANY picnic.
Thanks to NSXCA and ALL who helped put on a great XPO.
