    NSX Life Lesson

On the replicas: I still have the goal of building a diablo inspired replica. I have a builder less than 20 minutes from me. His chasis was designed by a ex-nascar man and it is AMAZING. Of course, my car would be powered by a twin turbo Viper V10 :) I've already done 1 viper turbo motor, so...

    Ff2 Nsx

The blue NSX w/ the nasty looking roof scoop is for sale not to far from me. Some smalltime used car lot bought it. I guess they hope to cash in from the movie, since the price is 27K LOL!! If anyone wants closeups, i'll drive overthere with the digicam hehe MM

    Look beter in person

A friend of a co-worker recently got a red/tan NSX-T. Don't remember what year, but it is a 3.2 motor. We had photos emailed to us and I sent him many websites on the cars (as I had been looking at one for a long time). I saw the car at the gym. Turns out, i've seen the guy there many times...

Miles -- How much is too much?

I know it's honda, but how many miles are TOO many miles on an NSX? 100K+? Assuming all service done at regular schedules... While the concept of a car having 100K miles on it completely new to me (my 93 VR4 was the highest milage car i'd ever owned at 62K), what are the general pitfalls of...

    91-94 NSX vs. 00-01 S-351SC

An NSX is NOT a staitline car. Never has, wasn't design for that in mind. The NSX, like any other exotic, was deisnged to be unique among a sea of sameness. It has a broad range of qualities... sleak deisgn, low production, high quality materials and excellent (from what i've read) handeling...

    2000 NSX-T JH4NA2168YT000175

Wow.. just looked at the pics. Right off the bat, I can tell you that the windshield piller is warped (told you.. targa+wreck = BAD), and I suspect the entire frame is also. Not to mention basicly everything from the firewall forward will need replaceing, frame will prob not be usable...

    2000 NSX-T JH4NA2168YT000175

Yep... I told you, wrecked cars will have MUCH more faults than what is quickly visable. No winshield = it shattered = scratches to the vinyl in the dash and that stuff gets into the vents (glass dusts). Water gets in, damages leather/vinyl when it warms back up. Mildew. Electrical connections...

    2000 NSX-T JH4NA2168YT000175

Just like any good restoration... take what you think it will cost to finish, then double it One side of my family is in the auto repair business. They do a great deal of wreck repairs on salvage cars for rental purposes. You would be amazed at what it costs to repair an even "lightly"...

    Velocity Stacks...

While it's not Honda specific.. this is a fun read on the intake manifold construction w/ stacks... http://www.sdsefi.com/air12.html Actually, everything on that site is a good read... MM

    2000 NSX-T JH4NA2168YT000175

Also, with any non-fixed roof car.. if they are hit, it usualy torques the body pretty bad. You can do a quick test.. see if the stock top fits back on w/o gaps or having to muscle it into place. Targa tops can be tricky to fix.. I'm guessing very hard when dealing w/ an exotic frame. MM

    2000 NSX-T JH4NA2168YT000175

While this is not NSX specific.. it applies to all cars. Always assume the damage is 100% worse than it apears to the naked eye. Where exactly was it hit? Even a light hit can cause frame damage.. especialy in an aluminum frame such as the NSX. You will need to have the frame inspected, and all...

    Honda NSX Best Motoring DVD

While i'm a newbie on the forum... if you can get a copy of that DVD out, I can rip to a DiVX codec and add subtittles. A co-worker of mine who is here for 5 more months before returning home is fluent in japanese. Now, I have no idea how long it would take to translate all of it, but adding...

    Finding silver... difficult?

Honestly, I like the silver w/ the black roof treatment. I'd love to have a yellow/black roof, but they were not produces in the US apparently. That color combo is my old 'Cuda combo I will prob go w/ red and black once I find the right car. MM

    Not my week.. Vandalism.

Yep.. Aircraft stripper. That's the non aerosol version, so they had to slather that nasty stuff all over the car. Sold in big jugs at napa/autozone stores. You can tell by the red pigment dripping from the marker lens... this stuff eats and permanently etches plastics (trust me). Wash the...

    Not my week.. Vandalism.

Do not use your bare skin to remove the foam. It sounds like someone sprayed it w/ aircraft stripper. The chemicals in it are very harsh. While the content should be disipated by this point, it can still be an irritant to the skin. Sorry for your loss though, I can't stand people who do things...

    Finding silver... difficult?

I doubt I will ever mod beyond a simple air filter swap. As long as it will get out of it's own way (it should) then i'm good to go MM

    Finding silver... difficult?

I'd like to find a 91-93 Silver/black NSX.. milage is not a huge importance (rather have a "seasoned" car in good shape than a garage queen for what I plan on using it for). Hopefuly, a deal with come my way I had hope to spend less than 35K given my requirements... only time shall tell. What...

    Finding silver... difficult?

After seeing a 92 Silver NSX, I love the look! However, according to the FAQ page, it is the lowest color produced in 91/92 cars. Do these cars come up for sale often? I'd really like to find a silver/black followed by a red/black if silver was nowhere to be found. One other question... the...

    Daily driver?

Good info. In 6 months of driving every day + 2 weekend trips to the coast (200miles per trip or so) I racked up only 2K miles. My office is right down the street... a 1 minute blast down the the highway once you get on. 1200$ isn't that bad if it included your service and belt change + general...
