Rear targa braces - what's still available?

I was interested in picking up a rear targa chassis brace to improve rigidity and reduce cowl shake (I have a '97 NSX-T). What bars are still available?

The STMPO bar would have been my first choice, but after reading about people's issues with Ross I am weary of dealing with that company. So far, the other choices I currently see are:

- LoveFab WFS

- Science of Speed

- SCW Performance

Does anyone have experience with any of these bars? Are there any I'm missing? I'm not interested in aesthetics - I want functionality.

Thanks for your help.

You're best off with either the LoveFab or the SOS.
The GTSpec bar sold by SCW & other places is more of a show piece than functional, mainly because the forward mounting point is where the hinge of your targa storage cover would normally go (it's not designed to be a reinforcement location). Secondly, because it uses the targa cover mounting position, you can't have your targa storage cover anymore.

Lastly, I believe CT Engineering still has theirs available but it has the "kink" in it to clear a supercharger.

I never had a problem dealing with Ross...actually thought he was a cool and laid back guy. He even thru in a couple of freebies with my order. To my surprise I could felt an immediate difference in my car after installing the rear bar...less creaks and body roll even at slow speeds. Placebo? maybe? but I think not.

I too have the STMPO, but I purchased mine second hand from another Prime Member. There is definitely a noticeable difference in the reduction of creaks. I also noticed mine tended to increase oversteer the first day I went to the track with it.

I have a stmpo targa bar and like it a lot, except i wish Ross offered anodized finishes instead of powder coating/paint. That's on me though. As for current choices, the Lovefab bar is probably your best bet @ $500 sale price now and it's as strong or stronger than the stmpo based on design. Overkill and sad it adds weight, but u can diet the car in other areas to make up for the weight.

Seeing that it's on sale for $500, I would have gone Lovefab @ the price they have now compared to stmpo.
