Japan's Honda NSX Factory Refurb Program

Roger. That kills that idea. I'll just sell before I go and pick up a Skyline or something to drive while I'm stationed there.

Japan's Honda NSX Factory Refurb Program

Has anyone done this? I have a rare opportunity to ship my car both ways to Japan during my upcoming tour in Yokosuka.

Any higher value in taking my 95 NSX to Japan?

OH! Also, aren't NSX-T's rare over there? Not sure of the demand for targa model NSX's over there. I looked at a car auction that showed used cars being sold in Japan. Saw only one actual left drive Acura NSX and it was a 1993 model with 27k miles for 43k US dollars.

Any higher value in taking my 95 NSX to Japan?

Hmmm...I didn't know about that refurbished thing. The website is in Japanese, so...yeah. I'm trying to find info but I'm seeing that it costs 30-40k? Not sure if that's including shipping both ways or not. Yeah they drive on the other side of the road, but in the military we can avoid the...

Any higher value in taking my 95 NSX to Japan?

Finally getting stationed in Japan in Yokosuka for my final two years before retirement. I have a '95 NSX and I'm debating about selling it here before I go. But I can also have it shipped for free. Any value for me in doing that? Would an American left driving NSX hold any greater value to...

02+ What color combo and why?

I like black exterior the best with those bug eyes. Black 02+ with an NSX-R scooped hood and spoiler looks really hot IMO. I kick around the idea of doing a conversion on mine all the time. But that's a lot of money that could instead be applied to an actual 02+ model.

    So Confused...

My only issue with red is the rear end isn't as flashy to me, because there's no contrasting colors between the body color and the tail lights. It all looks like one big red rear end. I kinda like the contrasting colors you get from any other body color with the tail lights. But from every...

    Military NSX owners

17 years Navy here. Stationed in San Diego since 2001. Perfect weather spot to go topless so my search was for '95 and newer. Navy federal gave me 44k loan preapproved at 5.25%. I ended up finding a dealer selling a '95 for 25k so I pulled the trigger. The carfax showed single owner and serviced...

    11000rpm on my NSX Engine

I have yet to do this, but I also have the stock shifter at stock height. Is it easier to accidentally do this on those cars that have installed shorter sport shifters? Are people sometimes still doing this with the stock stick?

    Paid off the NSX today!

Maybe it's a military thing and a Navy Federal Credit Union thing and the fact that I have an extremely slim chance of losing my income...but I got approval for up to $44,000 pre-approved at 5.25% interest, looking for '95 or newer NSX's. They had to locate it in their "classic car" database...

Supercar or not to supercar is the question..

Doing a search on autotrader for 2004 and newer corvettes reveals 2,033 automatic shift and 1,901 manual shift corvettes for sale. Hardly rare and automatics outnumber manuals. However, narrowing it to Z06 gets 830 manuals and 34 automatics. ZR1's was 174 manuals and 2 automatics...

    Last tank 26.8 mpg

Update to my mileage which used to never get over 24. Coming back from New Mexico to San Diego at 85mph, I got a tank at 25.5 mpg, which is incredible for the speeds I was traveling.

    pre 96' t top?

I found my '95 NSX-T for $25k. If you're willing to go for one over 100k miles, you can find them for that price around...especially the '95-'96 NA1 version. I don't see the point in spending a TON of money (which to do a half-way decent job at a conversion, that's what you're looking at)...
