What Suspension Is Everyone Running On Their NSX?

Tein-RE w/ stock sways on a 91. Great for the track, not fully girlfriend compliant on the street but still livable.

    My car is wrecked

oh yeah, one more thing...they wanted to cut me a check at my place w/in a few days of the accident...I figured that was a losing proposition...there's no way an insurance adjuster would know as much as a body shop that specializes in BMWs...

    My car is wrecked

Sorry to hear about your car--a tree fell on my M3 last month WHILE I was driving (~10mph)...it was on a part of property that was city owned so I could probably sue the city to get money, but that's what my car insurance is for--I'll let them go that route. The damage was mostly paint and my...

    Rear shock/spring removal?

To get the rears out I un-did the front side of the lower A arm. Since this was a one man job, I didn't have anyone else to stand on the rotor or the suspension. It helped to have a screwdriver to align the holes back since they're pre-loaded on a bushing. I have a pics of my tein install...

    Got The Big Thumps Down

Hey, it works both ways. I was in my M3 once, just minding my business, and a guy in a NSX came up and gave ME the thumbs down. WTF? I just laughed, gave him the finger and drove next to him. I think that pissed him off even more. I remember thinking, why are NSX owners such jerks? So I...

    Anyone install the Mugen FG-360?

I have this setup too...the prices from King are pretty high for Mugen stuff, since they're the only distributor in the US. I got it from another shop. The Mugen hub is nice, but pretty expensive. I guess the one cool thing about it is that it makes provisions to disable the cruise control...

Japan/Europe "H" logo taillight center section

Bruce-- To get the lense apart, i used a heat gun and some 3m adhesive remover. It gets pretty messy though, but I'm pretty satisfied w/ the results. No cracking or warping at all.

Japan/Europe "H" logo taillight center section

If you want that "H" on the back, just take apart the center section and put in a Honda emblem...I used a Civic emblem and painted it flat black...it came out looking pretty good. If you just get the JDM center section, the color of the plastic won't match the right and left sections (JDM is...

    moisture in taillights

I had the same problem w/ moisture in the lights...but it was the l & r sections, not the middle. I drilled a few small holes at the edges of the lights, drained the water and let the lights dry for a few weeks in front of a fan. Then I used clear silicon and a syringe and put a small bead...

    Racing Seat Recommendations

I have a Sparco Evo installed in my M3. It's pretty comfortable and give good support at the track. You're welcome to try it out...i'm in sunnyvale. Lemme know.

    HID Install

I bought a generic Phillips/Hella setup (LVQ212, same as in the bmw 3 series and probably the audis too) w/ Phillips D2S bulbs and fit it to my NSX but it was A LOT of work. Had to cast a few parts out of resin (the 9006 adapters for the bulbs, and new rear covers for the lights) as well as...

Got a ride in an F355 Spider 6-spd!!

I got a ride in a friend's 360 w/ a Tubi exhaust on it...the most awesome sounding car I've ever been in...sure maintenance costs are high and it only runs one week a month...but if I had the money, sure, why not get one? Quite an experience...oh, and when it came time for me to drive I wussed...

    Front Spoiler Question...

I have a 91 and put on a used newer style lip that came pre-scuffed...I just spray painted it flat black, and every now and then i re-spray it. I came to realize that anything that is that close to the ground will get scuffed/scraped/scratched pretty quickly so trying to keep the lip 'pristine'...

    Review: Tein type-RA suspensions

I have the Tein REs on my car, and they feel pretty good on the track. The spring rates are the same as the RAs out of the box (10 & 12 kg/mm) so it's still a rough ride on the streets. These on my nsx feel better than my bilstein/HR/RD setup on my M3...just my 2 cents...
