0 - 60 mph time?

Geeeez

All cars are fast these days.

The new E500 does 0-60 in 5.7 seconds and 14.1 at 102 in the 1/4.

Just what I want, I granny getting me off the line.

Is that true? Seems a bit fast for 3800+lb on 302hp. My neighbor just bought on of those. A black/tan one. The interior is pretty nice.

Sounds about right. Car and Driver tested it last month (November issue). Curb weight is even higher, at 3969 pounds. Their test figures were 5.8 0-60 and the 1/4 in 14.3 at 99.

These days, that's not particularly fast.

I saw it on MotorWeek this past Thursday.
I think it was the first time they managed faster numbers than other mags.

It does feel faster than my C43 did.

The new E55 will be a screamer though.
4.5 0-60 and 12.5 in the 1/4 at 112 IF it can get traction off the line.

Sports cars will truly only be superior in the twisties. No longer will they be superior two fold.

Automobile has the E55 at 5.0 0-60 and I dont remember the 1/4. The fastest was the new Audi Rs6. 0-60 was like 4.5 and 1/2 in 12.8 at 112 I think. That is FAST.

I believe those numbers apply only to the AMG version of the Benzes. The SL55 AMG and the SLK32 AMG both tested at 4.5 0-60, but 13.0 in the 1/4.
