BBS LM Style wheels installed!

13277-1.gif

So funny so true.

I think these are the best looking LM reps. If I had the extra cash I would get a set or two. Keep the pics coming please.

Just bought a set yesterday at Ventura Motorsports. False offset they are actually 18x8 + 40 front and 19x9.5 +45 rear. You will need a 5mm spacer to clear the rear calipers. great rims for $600.00. Just needed a set of 18/19 set up to clear driveways.

Are the spacers included? Can you upload a picture of your 5mm spacers?

Nice looking BBS reps and a great deal for $600.

But I hope you are also letting people know that your NSX-R spoiler is a replica by Downforce. Because that's faking the funk, and anyone on your thread who is talking about hating replicas wouldn't be rocking fake NSX-R spoilers by Downforce or fake Mugen turn signal covers by Blodi...

His got a point there. May as well add some fake BBS wheels to add to the fake wannabe Honda white NSX R-type with the carpets and even decal on the rear wing LOL! However, I still love the looks though, but funny. I got some fakness on my car, but it doesn't bother me. To each it's own, as long as you like who gives a hoot!

I'll stick to my 17/18's set up as it will decrease the performance of the car.

Jagtiger's front reps at a 40 offset requires no spacers because the face is more convex as opposed to esm's "flat" face which probably looks more authentic, but also requires a spacer. His rear wheels are at a 35 offset which is a better fit than the tucked-in 45 offset. Regardless, both Jagtiger's and ESM's look great. Ultimately it's your decision whether or not you want the convex front. As far as sporting real or fake wheels--I think everyone should do as they please and not get so caught up with what others think. I can afford the real LM's, but I certainly think that my reps fit the bill and definitely my budget--staggered with deep rear lip for less than the price of one real LM that could also crack when you hit a pothole. Everyone's got priorities and responsibilities--we should respect them!

It has nothing to do whether I can afford something or not. I certainly understand we all have budgets and have to spend our money wisely. The reps look almost as good as the real ones at a fraction of the price. It's a no brainer. But don't be a "Poser" and sport BBS center caps on your replicas. You may fool a majority of people to think you have the real deal, but why? It just makes you look silly by those who know you are faking the funk.

The center caps says BBS! I have 3 sets of them in different colors ..$30 each set

Regardless, I would remove those caps. Just tacky IMO. But to "each his own."

He said they came with the wheels, pretty sure if they didn't come with them then they wouldn't be on there.

ORLY?

Enough of me beating this dead horse to death already.

If you like it then who cares what we think.

I think that if putting BBS center caps on fake BBS wheels makes one happy--more power to him. Some people have no intention of "fooling" others by using fake LV wallets, or in this case, replica wheels--it just makes THEM feel good. Some people just take their car modding too seriously and it takes the fun out of self-expression. If you think it makes people look silly flaunting fakes, well then--it's probably YOUR problem. I really don't care how others think whether my stuff's real or fake--I've got more important things to worry about. Car modding to me is fun--and I'm keeping it that way : )

Hey theo are these the wheels and the car you Pointed out to me on Thursday

yep thats why people should not be putting nsx-r stickers on the replica spoilers. i would say blodi's covers are not a mugen replica if you have seen the real thing. they are not even close. the mugen pieces are actually one solid curved piece made from a mold and mounted by metal brackets.

blodi's are just a flat piece of acrylic that has been bent around the signal opening with plastic brackets. I personally prefer my route k's covers which are made of polycarbonate and much more durable. the metal mounting brackets as well as tapered edges around makes for a perfect fitment with no gaps and no loss of fitment over time.

But the real NSX-R Spoiler doesn't even have stickers (I think they were only the NSX-R concept).

I smell some funk faking going on here... and I don't like it.

This entire thread makes me LOL

You all sound like a bunch of high school girls arguing.

It is what it is. Everyone should mod their own cars to their own liking.. Period. End of Story.

But I want the FUNK!!
(that's what she said)

Those wheels look great on your car Henry!

Ignore the negative comments. There are tons of replica parts out there and just about everyone on this site is sporting replicas on their cars. I dont understand what the big deal is...so what.

BTW, I dont understand why people with real BBS wheels have attitudes like they are the best wheel on the planet. Just because they dropped a bunch of coin on overpriced wheels doesn't give them any right to bad mouth people with replicas. There...I said it. I feel better!

I think next time the hospital wants to give me generic drugs instead of the name brand, I'm gonna tell them, HELL NO!!! It's the real deal or no deal! I don't want to fake the funk!

(sorry, I just like that saying now.. "fake the funk"..haha)
