DCI.org. I'm going to 1/4 final because I don't want to deal with traffic at the rose bowl, but I also have a BD alumni tailgate party on the day of Semi final, and I may be invited to finals by BD. So yeah, I could be there all three days.... This will most likely be the only time ever DCI host the final in California.

nice shot in the second video

Hey Vance,
I marched RCC for two years, Tommy year and Zorro  I remember, you totally ripped on your solos! I was one of the alto saxes  with all that staff from bd and vets from different corps at rcc, man i really wished i learned to play a brass instrument...closest to corps experience i'll ever have *thumbs up*

This is funny, you guys actually marched Drum Corp. I marched drum corp back in 1989 with "The Florida Wave" we only made it to 18th place in 1989 and 13th in 1987. Then they dissolved. DB and Cadets have always been my favorites.

BD won!!!

Cadets... Sorry George Hopkins, if you took out the narration, you might had a shot at the title..lol

It was weird to see Cavies, they didn't sound loud at all...

All the Corps put on a good show this year....

Yeah, BD won!!!

When I marched with 1991 BD, we got lots of people from Suncoast Sound, because they folded that year... But we had fun. Fifth... but high brass.

+++1 on the Cadets' narration. Uggh, I couldn't stand it!
Finals should be here every year!! Nice "hometown" win BD!! They always bring it!

It's amazing to me:
I used to skateboard and bmx as a kid and I see what can be done with those activities now and it blows me away!! No limits really except the imagination!

Well, the same can be said of drum crops!!! I aged out in 85 with SCV (I wish the Cadets had narration THAT year... I'd have a ring!) and 22 years has seen a world of progress! Quite impressive!!!

My older brother played bass in the Kingsmen Alumni Corps and it was great seeing them out there again! I marched the 82 and 83 seasons with the Kingsmen but I had no time really to do the alumni thing with him.

It always hurts a little to go to these events. Turning 21 is a great thing for most everyone but not for the drum corps fanatics.
But then again, I bet we'd all like to to park it at 21 for a while!!

Anyhoo, great to see some "brethren" on this site for sure!!
Big ups to RCC too - they are always amazing!! (cool videos - thanks vanceHu - mad chops!!)
