Hello

Lil help pls!!!! :frown:

I was wondering if anyone can chime in between the 2 exhaust?

i have only heard the GT-ONE F1 exhaust Ver.5.1 SS in person and i really liked it.

but i'm yet to hear the GT-ONE F1 exhaust Ver.6 or the GT Extreme Muffler

has anyone heard both exhaust in person?
Also what are the sound difference in comparison to each other and to the Ver 5.1?

I did a search on the Web and cant find any video of the: GT-ONE F1 exhaust Ver.6 (aka: Bel Canto) only 2 vids in you tube

any feedback greatly appreciated

i know i know i might be getting more HP out of my JGTC but that is not that important to me as the freeway speeds limits are only 65mph , and i dont track or STREET RACE  my car.

Well you know where I stand on this issue hahah  IMO, The GT-Extreme is just a better design and sounds like an F1 car... done!

have you had the chance to hear the Ver6?

Is the GT-ONE F1 exhaust Ver.5.1, even available anymore?
not sure, most likely just in the used market

not in person..... but it makes the car sound pretty mean... I guess it comes down to personal preference. Doesn't matter what ppl say its up to you if you like it or not .....

I like the fact that the GT-Extreme has metal shavings instead of fiberglass in the canisters... like the V6 does. Which will eventually burn out and make the muffler sound really loud!

design prowess...

Price-points play a role, obviously. Is the GT-Extreme exhaust 2.5x the exhaust the JGTC Parallel is (based on cost-to-acquire)? Not in my opinion. Is the GT-Extreme perhaps the best sounding exhaust for an NSX? Quite likely.

The GT-Extreme is an evolution of the JGTC Parallel design (slim twin-canister, offset parallel piping).

~$1k for the JGTC Parallel exhaust or ~$2.5k for the GT-Extreme... both are win-win, IMHO!

(the rest don't compare... :D)

Have'nt heared anything that comes close to Turbo2go's car with GT-One F1 v5 and GT-One headers.

All these exhausts sound incredible at 8000 rpms. But they are much less F1 like at cruising around town speeds. I believe they can be more fun if running 6 spd or 5 spd with short gears. It's not so impressive if running 5 spd USDM with the ole tall as hell 2nd gear. It just makes a big difference to me, but thats me. I am impressed with Matt337's GT extreme.

personal preference. both sound great

not to jack the thread but i am selling my GT-ONE v.6

Here you go.
GT-One full exhaust (headers, tp, and v5.1). Sprinkle with supercharger.

That doesn't sound anything like a F1 car....

this does. Speeded up 3x (8,000 rpm = 24,000 rpm).

This is a semi dead thread but I would be remiss not to point out the most amazing recording of an NSX exhaust that I just heard. Two cars, both with GT1 5.1, one of the cars has a CTSC. At about 15 seconds you hear an awe inspiring rev.

note: the mean sound is achieved with "straight pipes" unfortunately.

GT-Extreme ^

Thanks for the VIDS, ENKRYPT3D,

If you know of any others please post... ( GT-one V.6)

So do you think an Extreme GT starting up "cold idle" is louder than a stock

Harley warming up?

Can you run the Extreme GT at fairly normal volumes at lower RPM's with

lower torque load: without blowing yourself out of the seat?

Can you putt along fairly quietly if desired or is it always a roar and drone

type exhaust?

Thanks,

Jeff

I would get neither, consider the GruppeM exhaust, specifically ver.3 for it's amazing sound unlike any other exhaust, amazing straight through flow and among the best in weight reduction. Of course we are assuming there are no emmission restrictions, if there are then disregard my comment.

Yes you can drive the car around normally and its super quiet... when you start the car it does give a nice sound and then settles down. Maybe I'll make a video one of these days when I have a spare set of hands around.

And of course once you put your foot into it, the sound is amazing...

With OEM headers, the sound is actually very subdued so don't expect the F1 sound without using aftermarket headers and cats...

Chills, just chills :) I was already planning on doing a "form" of straight pipes (I'll post pics and vids this summer) but that video made the plan concrete for me. Great find sir :)
