How Do I Remove My Hertz Sub From the SOS Enclosure?

My Hertz sub might be dead so I'm having it looked at by a friend. I think it's been siliconed into the SOS enclosure??? How do remove it to put a new sub in? Any tips?

I think you need to pry it up and work your way around it. Any reason why it would be dead? Maybe the connection came loose inside?
