How hot does your targa top get?

I took off the targa top and stored in the engine compartment, took a 1hr ride, parked for an hour, then 1/2 hr ride back home (temp 80 deg, sunny, low humid). The top was so hot I almost couldn't handle it to put it back on...and I've got tough hands. I don't remember it getting that hot last summer! Any thoughts?

I have had hot days were the top was too hot to handle,bare handed so I use my driving gloves.

Yep, all T-top owners should have mechanic's or driving gloves in the "glove" compartment.
