I don't know if this thread is in the right place, so if it isn't, moderator, please move to right spot.

I searched and couldn't find any topics on this.

Year and model of car?
How much is your coverage? Month/6month/year
What does your plan consist of?

1992 NSX
im 25 years old.
insured with Grundy.
$380/year for full coverage.

car must not be a daily driver; it cannot be used to commute or go grocery shopping. cannot be used as a race car or track car. Grundy is a show car insurer. they insure the car to-from car shows and weekend cruises. my guess is if i actually get in an accident they will question where i was going and what i was doing.

Mine is $679 every 6months.
500k csl liability
50 comp
100 collision

*no limit on mileage*

Like $50 a month? I just raised my deductable on my 2 other cars and now pay $0 more then I did with the 2 cars.

I think you might also want to know where these people live, amount of coverage, medical, deductable, limited driving versus daily driving, etc.

mileage is high enough that i probably wont drive it that much in a year. and i live in new orleans, so YOU KNOW that would raise my rate. and all the payouts are ridiculously high.

Second car or very limited mileage, along with region and age have a lot to do with the low cost. I have a '99, but also have three other insured vehicles. I have no limit as to the use of the NSX, with the exception that I drive it less that 5000 miles per year.

I pay an additional $63 per month for exceptional coverage & limits on the NSX, and live in Southern California. I'm also 45. If I had been 25, it would have been nearly 4 times as much. I asked.

I don't believe you.

Oh, no! Not again!!!

Do we really need yet another "how much do you pay for insurance" topic? Come on, folks - this has been discussed here many times before. We already have way too many such topics as it is, and anyone can check the numbers posted in them by clicking on these links:

Finally, to quote Mr. nsxtasy:

"Rates are going to vary depending on company, state, town, age, driving record, coverages and limits, etc.

There's a very easy way to find out how much it will cost for you to insure an NSX. Just call your insurance company and ask. They can tell you, even without you having to buy the car. Or you can check an online service such as http://www.insweb.com"

I pay less for my 97 NSX then I did for my Integra Type-R.
Type-Rs get stolen all the time though.

I'm jalous. Here in Switzerland I pay ~1500 $ per 6 month. And has I am not a new driver, I only pay ~ 40 %. I f I were 18 y.o., I would pay the 100 %. But I don't know what is included in the US car insurance. My car is insured at his "new" price.

I use Hagerty.com the insure for Agreed value and was 150.00 cheaper than state farm , 1082.00 per year and includes flatbed towing

$355 every 6 months ($710 per year). State Farm (gotten every discount available except for the senior citizen discount).
Full coverage.
Liability is 100/250/500k
$1000 dedeuctible across the board.
*mileage limit: 7500 miles per year*
Drivers on car: wife and me
Age: 40's
Location: California
clean driving record for over 20 years.

I have 5 cars covered on my collector car policy. I believe that my NSX costs @ $700 per year and is covered for $40,000. It's a '91 with 32,400 miles. No deductible and 3000 miles a year.

$327.57 (6-months)

2002 NSX
State Farm
insured as a pleasure vehicle or not more than 30 miles to
school or work per week. (under 7,500 annually)

Mike,
Why insure your NSX when it's in the shop for so long? Did you get you NSX back from the shop yet? I'm back from my vacation.

That's just wrong :frown: . You shouldn't joke about a sensitive subject like that  . No, still at the shop. But i did get my headlights finished today, and they said the car should be ready next week  .

Looks like we have similar coverage. I guess you and I are in the same risk category per State Farm. Difference is that I am in California and you are in Tennesse.

Good to hear progress is being made. Glad to here you are getting your NSX back next week. I didn't drive mine for about 3 weeks, and boy was it fun to get behind the wheel again. I could only imagine what you are going to do after you pick up your NSX.

Year and model of car? 1998 nsx-t and 1994 f-150
How much is your coverage? $130/month...$1560/yr
What does your plan consist of?Geico Full coverage

Just got my renewal for my NSX. My premium for the next 6 months has gone down from $327 to $303 (full coverage with 250/500 liability).

$304 every 6 months with USAA in Texas.

Discounts for multi-car and reduced (driving) mileage. It is not insured as a daily driver. USAA told me the NSX is in their highest (most expensive) category for repair costs. I assume that's because of the aluminum body and expensive parts. I'm pleased overall though on the insurance costs. My son's Element costs 3X to insure.

Also received a $27 dividend from State Farm for the last 6 months of coverage. Just waiting for the senior citizen discount. What age does that start at? I probably have about 20+ years to go.
