which of the following would you choose to replace it?

BMW M5
BMW M3 Coupe
Nissan GTR

Any other suggestions under 100k?

Any vehicle is fair game (i.e. no apples to oranges comments). Hell, let's throw in a Porsche Cayenne Turbo just for kicks.

If I sold my nsx's, it would only be because I were looking for something radically different; perhaps a W12 phaeton if I got tired of low/loud cars.

I don't think there is another car in the same price range, and market segment, that offers a significant advantage over the package the nsx provides; this is validated by the many people who sell their nsx's for "something different", only to return months later, looking for a replacement nsx.

As much as I would hate to see the NSX go...but if and only if I had to get rid of her and those three were my only choices (four if you include the Cayenne)...Id go with the GTR. Because Im just not a BMW guy.

Now how long I stick with the GTR...different question...again the car doesnt really interest me past the power and performance. I have had the NSX since 1999 and I still smile everytime I get behind the wheel. Yeah its not the fastest or the quickest, but it does the job for me. But who knows.

I'd buy a Toyota Camry, because obviously I got real stupid.

But honestly if I had to sell my NSX, I'd get a 2004/05 one instead.

it really depends what the person would want after nsx, luxury, or sporty, or eco freindly, kid hauler, etc

i would do a mercedes 63 as a replacement, e63 cls63 c63, because im bias and want some paddle shifters:cool: the gtr would be nice too if you want a coupe, when you can finaly get one not marked up like 50k LOL,

i would take a used m5 over a brand new m3 anyday of the week

New Lamborghini baby Gallardo, or a Honda fit for daily and Modena for weekend, or a Bmw 330Ci for daily and another NSX.

Re: Only one reason

I sold my NSX. A real race car sucked up my budget, time and garage space.

When I get more of those 3, I'll get another NSX.

I can see myself selling the NSX under two scenarios:

1. Run into financial problems and downsize to a 1994-1995 Miata.

2. Come across that special Zanardi and the stars align properly.

Otto

MR options within price range

- Lotus Elise / Exige
- Porsche Cayman S (bonus: lot of afternarket hop-up kits)
- another NSX (am with Otto on the Zanardi, or any 02+ coupe)
- Noble kit-car
- something different - ever try an Opel Speedster ? I had some fun chasing one of these around Silverstone a few years back... nice little pocket-rocket

The F360/430 and LamboG are still holding value.
Audi R8 would hopefully be an option, after depreciation of 3-5 years

If I HAD to sell my NSX, that means I am in financial difficulty. If I am in financial difficulty, I would not be replacing the NSX with anything. My NSX is a toy and not a DD. If I am replacing my NSX, then it is a preference and not a "have to sell" scenario.

either a M-coupe an Elise or a works Mini.
(probably the Mini).
i have not yet seen or driven a one series BMW. if it was as fun as a Mini i would go for One

I had a W12 Phaeton I can vouch it's an excellent car hands down, world class sedan.

Given the choices offered, BMW M3 and keeping my alternative suggestion under your 100k mark would be a 2009 Carrera S

Just rode in a W12 Phaeton yesterday around Tampa... it definitely throws you back into the seat on takeoff. I'm not a big VW fan but this car was pretty pimp. I'd take it over a 7 series BMW for sure.

According to Top Gear, with the limiter removed, the car is capable of 200mph

I would never get rid of the NSX!!! Only if they came in a V10 with 550 HP...
