because, like you, i am a combat vet.

because i, like you, am an american citizen who wants the best possible treatment for our gi's and vets.

So why so skeptical about anything that's brought up that has to do with Obama? The man clearly has some socialist agenda, yet people still defend him.

Ski good point,,how can our government not be influenced when dealing with China, since they own at least a trillion of our T-bill/bonds:confused::rolleyes:

Yep, but there's two parts to the equation: What will China do with the Treasuries they already own (probably nothing -- it would kill the Yuan/$ FX rate if they tried to repatriate the money quickly), and What if China refuses to buy more Treasuries if they don't like what we're spending it on. The latter is the bigger problem. LT Treasury rates, for new financings, would probably double overnight -- increasing mortgage and corporate borrowing rates. Regardless of Obama's true agenda, he has to walk one hell of a tightrope with this issue.

x2. I dont' understand it.

please elaborate.

It appears that anytime something negative is brought up about Bush/Wall Street/Right Wing politics...everyone just accepts what negativity is said at face value with no fact checking or due dilligence.

On the other hand - if someone utters anything negative about Obama/Leftists, all of the sudden everyone immediately dispels the corroborator as wrong and demands to know their sources.

Case in point - the guy who posted the useless drivel about Rick Santelli being part of some underground movement, lol.

i think the reality is that, by and large, people focus on issues they're interested in / support, etc, +/-... just so many hours / cycles in life contending for resources. i'm only interested in bush/wallstreet/right wing politics to a mild degree so don't ask much about those things and i factor the source of the info / rant.

i voted for obama so when i hear negative things, i have two basic reactions: "dang, is that right?" and / or "dang, that's not right!"

i historically ask for sources because i'm interested in learning more.

as for santelli's rant, i'm with rick.

I think that has more to do with Bush being around for 8 years...after a while you just get used to the same old BS.

Give Obama a bit longer and you'll probably get the same thing.

You get lied to enough and people stop believing you.

Yeah but Obama keeps doing stuff

At least Bush could go a few days maybe even weeks without coming up with some new plan to screw me over.

Obama has a new one everyday:frown:

I think the reality is that people are very resistant to take responsibility or admit that they were wrong.
