I purchased a 92 NSX red/ivory 4 weeks ago. I have found that a few things do not work correctly on the stereo.
The preset buttons on the head unit work intermittanly. The 3,6 buttons are most affected but 4 and 8 may also be occasionally affected. They are affected in all modes. The back light on the buttons dims when I use the CD player ( I assume this is a degisned effect).
The speakers crackle as described in many threads and probably mean imminent amp failure. Are the door amps more likely to fail or is it the centre amp? The crackles seem to come more from the centre speaker.
