Does anyone have one on order? I placed my order in late June. I was told once factory accepted the order there would be updates on born date, and where the car was placed in production, etc. My dealer hasn't received much info from PMC. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this scenario? I am being told OCT delivery but was still hopeful to get some kind of update on the build.

yes I know someone who ordered in April and still crickets...

Congrats on the order. Can you share how you optioned your car as well as color. You will not be disappointed.

Ordered March31 gave deposit April 2. Not scheduled yet. I think it's clear the pandemic had a significant impact to their scheduling and build capacity. Dream and wait so they build with care with their hand picked teams and best process model. I figure they certainly want to deliver a perfect product and get paid so they do the best they can with a bad situation. They're not stalling they're recovering like everyone.

As i understand once scheduled it's about a 45 day turn around. My attitude is, it is what it is. Really, I've been waiting since 2005 so a few more weeks is no biggie.

Thanks, and I am with you. I know my order isnt "assigned" yet but thats the nest step. Was hoping for at least a born date.

I placed my deposit on June 8th. I purchased from Powdbyrice at Acura of Fremont and he has kept me informed every step of the way. Per the BTO sheet (which he sends me every time there is an update), several things happened on July 11th: trim locked, EC/IC locked, FIF locked, all configurations locked. The next update was "factory order confirmed" on August 17th. We're doing our NSX Insider Experience the week of September 21st, and taking delivery on October 11th.

According the BTO sheet, we're still two steps away from "assigned", so maybe one step behind you, audioguy. That would seem to imply that you'll be getting your car in late September or early October, I would guess.

Thank you so much!! My dates show, 7/11/20 All Config Locked, 7/16/20 Accepted, and 8/17/20 Factory Order Confirmed. My guy at Crown in Clearwater says that he will update me as well. But as of now no updates. Do you get a born date?? Sounds like we might be getting our cars at the same time, LOL. Although they haven't been able to give me a delivery date yet.

So will you be able to actually see your car being completed? I wasn't sure given your insider experience during the week of Sep 21st but then not getting your car until Oct 11th?

Pretty cool. I was told no insider experience was available. Glad that you're doing that

Anyone know at what point or date it becomes a 2021?

Joe I forgot- what color combo did you end up going with?

Yes, one reason I have great faith in these dates is because we're going there for the tours, etc. part of which includes putting the Acura badge and serial number plate on *our* car. Powdbyrice and I agreed on the delivery date which has some slack in it, both in case of delays in shipping and to allow their tech time to put in my dealer-installed accessories. Since I am flying to take delivery of the car and then arranged a little mini-vacation to drive it home, we wanted to be very confident in that date as well.

That is spectacular! What a great way to purchase this car. Will you be able to go to the engine assembly plant as well? I recall visiting the Honda R&D facility in Southern California years ago. Their facility was impressive. Our NSX engines are bench run similar to race engines that Honda builds. I believe this makes our cars very unique in that respect. Enjoy for sure.

I'm a bit OCD, and had an experience with driving from Chicago to West Virginia in a Porsche at a tad over the speed limits. When I arrived back home my front hood was full of stone chips. Are you afraid of road rash? I am in the market for a used NC1 and if it is more than a day away I'll probably have to ship it pending having PPF applied when it gets home.

I bet there is a local PPF shop close to the PMC. Heck, they may already have one that they work with for customers who want the car to be covered prior to delivery.

Well if you happen to see a Casino w. Orchid and Polished Wheels shoot some pics for me. I think we are on the floor together. I decided not to go for the tour. But enjoy!!

I'd love to! But the way I understand it, we won't be allowed to take personal cameras or phones on the tours.

To answer drmanny3's question, yes we're doing the Anna Engine Plant tour as well plus the half-day on the track. I can't see traveling all the way to Ohio and spending all that money just to do *part* of the experience. We're all-in!

To answer Stkpikr's question, I have no doubt we'll get some road rash on our brand new machine. I'm not thrilled about that, but am also realistic that in the grand scheme of things, it's just a car. I do pamper and care for my vehicles, to the point where my 8.5 year-old ZDX is regularly mistaken for a brand new vehicle (and yes, that's funny on many levels), but I'm not over the top about it.

I see your signature has "Nord Gray" as the color of your car. They don't list that color as a option on the "build" site. Was that a special order?

Correct, B&B. I'm not sure which was more important, the "asking nicely" part or the "modest upcharge" part.

They will do a car in Nord Gray if you ask nicely and pay a modest set up charge

I wasn't aware they would do that but I didn't want the Nord or any other color, other than what I ordered. The Nord is a very nice color though, enjoy DJ Iceman!

Ordered my car 4/2/2020. Just got a call. My car will be completed today. Looking at pick up 9/28-29/2020.

This does not suck.
