Pre-'95 owners, notice any squeaks/rattling?

I have owned my '94 green/tan NSX for almost a month now and I am noticing a lot more squeaks and rattles than when I first drove it when I bought it. I drove it on the really rough bad roads of San Fransisco once and I live close to some really bad roads, but what kind of noises do you guys have? I get a funny rattling sound from around the map light, and also the rear glass cover seems to squeak from time to time, also the dash area makes a funny crackle once in a while. I just want to make sure my NSX is not too weird. The car has 42k miles on it now.

I have the same number of miles on my '91 which I've had since new. No squeaks or rattles or other funky noises - just that great VTEC howl from the engine compartment.

Damn, I'm sorry to say this, but I'm starting to be glad that I didn't get your car. Having said that, rattles are not really a big problem. Just a nuisance.

Mine is also a 94 with 66K and there are no rattles or squeaks at all. Even over pot holes.

Every car that I have owned has had a squeak or rattle somewhere or another. Remember that the NSX is a hand built machine, so I would assume that some sounds are to be expected. Don't worry, just enjoy the car.

I've owned a number of cars. C3 and C4 Vettes (terrible for squeaks and rattles), a Lexus SC400, and many others.

I must say this NSX is SOLID. I'm really picky about noises and rattles and I can't notice a single squeak or rattle.

I do have a whirring-pumpy sound which sounds like it could be a Automatic transmission type of noise or some other kind of accessory/pump noise, but I'm still tracking that down.

My car has 47K miles and it's a 1991.

Jim

Probably the ABS pump. That's normal on startup and whenever you activate the ABS.
