The F-16 makes a comeback!

Man......you shouldn't stir this pot up. I was getting happy and was trying to come up with ways to come up with $$$ to afford it, and you're pulling our chain!

Dammit!! Why can't you be the head designer for Honda? This thing would be a great successor!!

Let's strive for a little more than that from Honda. Afterall, you know the F-16 is currently being replaced. Yawn.

Now... it would be nice if the next version was based on the Lockheed Martin/Boeing F-22 Raptor. Afterall, "street superiority" is what our nsxprime audience demands.

Starting with the all composite and titanium construction. Mil Spec harnesses. 10.5 billion instructions per second ECU to help compensate for the driver behind the wheel. Turbo fans to propel it faster than a $5000 Mustang. Oh, and of course stealth so owners can be invisible to radar and other motorists as they scoot past Scion's at mach speeds!!!

hsc_photochop.jpg

Do one with the back like this. Somebody on prime made this photoshop and i think the rear looks gorgeous! Just fix the piece between the exhaust cause it doesn't look right (I'd do it. I used to use Lightwave along time ago, and made some damn realistic looking civic hatchbacks [i was into those before NSX)]. recently I tried making an NSX and got too fed up with 3D and quit)

Couple concepts you could sat down and turned the key(HSC, ASCC) but probably wouldn't start it. hehehe...but I do agree with you.

You could have gotten in the seat of an HSC and turned the key, and it would start too. It was a fully operational concept. Unlike the ASCCrap, the HSC was not just a clay model.

I like how he put the story together. Really cool that will make you almost believe until you see his source... NDATSOURCEWUDBME. u got me
F-16er:biggrin:

if the new NSX looks like this. My 91 would be as good as sold:biggrin:

Well, if this is true. then, FINALLY, Honda might be BACK ON TRACK.

I am not sure about the rear end of this new concept, but I like the front a lot. Anyone can immediately see the NSX-lines back in this concept and I think that is what Honda should do.
Now, I just hope Honda will NOT back out from this once again but see it through all to a final production model.
I think 380 HP from a 3.7 liter engine is a little too low.
Honda has enough technology on tap to improve on that one. Make it a full 430 HP while keeping the weight in at just 1350 kg (a little less might be even better) puts it into some serious competition, right back at the Lamborghini Gallardo level. Make it a full 490 HP at you are right back at the F430 level.
Please Honda, make that commitment and BUILD this thing !!

Honda has confirm it to be FR layout.

AND

This one looks too much like the HSC

THEREFORE

Looks like some thing a graphic student will make as a school project

AND

......

The car does look very nice, too bad it wouldn't happen. Even if they do it, the concept is over five years old, already out dated.

Looks good :D

Send it to Honda

Ha! He's right here in my neck of the woods! I haven't seen many NSX's around here.

Good work, got my heart racing from excitment for a second!

cool design but the design in 'the wicked one' post is better. they dont need a v10. a v8 would more than suffice. i wonder if they would try to add more efficient 'green' changes to stand out from the rest as they should.

Taken from an anonymous source:

Acura has released teaser photos of the upcoming successor to the legendary NSX. After much debate, Acura designers have finally agreed on the design direction. In attempt to save time and cut cost, a preivous design was revisited.

The short-lived HSC concept is reincarnated after the last design direction for the new NSX became too controversial. This new concept deemed the Acura “New Sports Car” Concept is designed and built around a new platform to incorporate a powerful mid-mounted V-10 engine and a rear-wheel-drive based version of Acura’s exclusive Super Handling All-Wheel Drive™ (SH-AWD™).

The concept’s exterior seems to be a synthesis of the previous HSC and ASCC. Losing the long nose from the ASCC concept, the tail is elongated to hide the new powerful engine beneath. The long tail, mid-engine stance is much more provocative compared to the last long hood design. The cockpit profile is softened compared to the sharp angled roofline apparent on the HSC, giving a more balanced and elegant stance.

The wide and low appearance is very reminiscent of its predecessor, with subtle changes to accommodate the new performance platform. Thin LED illuminated headlights are stretched wide and designed to mimic the headlights found on the first generation NSX. Other styling hints include the large, red rear taillights that have slate-like texture and the original black top color scheme. The aesthetics of the NSC are quite familiar to the Pagani Zonda.

Short overhands with 105.1 inch wheelbase maximize the handling and agility. Slotted carbon ceramic brake discs and eight-piston calipers ensure the stopping power for a powerful machine. Five-spoke forged aluminum alloy racing wheels are wrapped with 245/35ZR19 tires in front and 295/30ZR20 tires in the rear. The wheels are brimmed with a deep dish lip that accentuates the aggressive stance. The body is constructed from aluminum and carbon fiber keeping the curb weight as low as possible. This new coupe weighs in at 1350 kg, which will allow it to be as nimble as ever.

Two versions are going in production: one will be a GT and the other will be a full-fledged super car. The GT version will receive a 3.7 liter high-revving V-6 that will produce in upwards of 380 hp. The base model will also feature a modest trunk and will have the option of having the SH-AWD™ for every day driving. The premium model will dawn the “NSC-R” moniker. It loses the trunk, but will include a V-10 engine with over 500 hp, SH-AWD™, race tuned suspension and extensive weight savings for shear performance.

The base GT expected cost will be in the $80,000 area whereas the NSC-R counterpart will be well over the $100,000 mark. Only the NSC-R will receive the F16 black top, extra air inlets on the cowl to provide more air flow to the V-10 engine and will have a limited production of roughly 1000 units per year.

Acura New Sports Car Concept dimensions:

Width: 76.3 in
Length: 170.3 in
Height: 45.4 in
Wheelbase: 105.1 in
Tires:
Front: 245/35R19
Rear: 295/30R20

*weight and dimensions are for V6 variant without SH-AWD™
**NSC-R specs are still undetermined and will be released at an undisclosed time after the NSC GT's debut

Seriously, I am really curious. What kind of gain or pleasure do you get for making up stuff like this? "Taken from an anonymous source?"

Today's news is that Honda is helping Tony G give free engine/cars to CART teams to end the 12 year split in American open wheel racing.

Why bother? Why is Honda still the engine supplier for IRL (soon to be IRL/CART)... no new NSX, RSX, S2000 why does Honda care to bring us "sports car fans" to the race track anymore...with nothing to sell to us?

I was just having some fun and I'd thought I would share this with NSXprime community. It doesn't take a genious (if he actually read the post) to figure out that this was done in a playful, but with a bit serious tone. I mean who knows, maybe some from HONDA will see this and a spark will rekindle.

I do apologize to any of those that are disrupted by this, but I guess you can sorta blame Honda for letting us down.

Finally, there is hope for Honda! They have found a worthy designer for the new NSX... and his screen name is N-SPEC! Thank you for the first glimmer of hope I've had in years.

Doesn't anyone find it strange that Honda can't seem to find a design direction for the new NSX, yet their core base is here applauding N-Spec's design?

It is likely and probable that the ASCC was abandoned after the backlash from the NSX community. Let's hope Honda is still listening... and learning.
