F1 boss Chase Carey says that the group is making contingency plans for Brexit, if it goes ahead at the end of the month. Carey said that the logistical problems could be a major headache but added that: “we bring them in and out of the UK now. We obviously can bring them in and out of somewhere else”, suggesting that F1’s fleet of trucks, which transports all the equipment for races and TV activities could be based outside the UK. The group has around 20 trucks used for TV. It has a deal for 15 trucks with DHL to transport Paddock Club equipment, while a European company called Wagner Spedition has another dozen or so trucks for signage equipment, safety cars, medical cars and minibuses. The fleet includes two motorhomes.
