Tie Rod Ends - Painted?

[Honcho]

Before I put my steering rack back together, I was going to soda blast all the grime off of the tie rod ends, repack the ball joints and replace the boots. But, I'm not sure if they are bare aluminum or black painted steel. Anyone know?

i have brand new OEM ones still sealed, and they appear to have NO finish whatsoever!!
