It's been four good years, but I finally did it. I sold my car even though it felt bad, I believe I did the right thing for me. But I didn't sell it to just anyone. I found a GREAT home for it where it will be happy, and more importantly, it will bring joy, excitment and happiness to its new owner.

Don't be sad for me. The world maintains perfect balance. My loss is someone elses gain. The only time for tears is when an NSX is crashed and out of circulation.

The new owner is a Prime member. Perhaps he will post and tell us how the drive home was. :)

So what will I drive now? Well.. I went the 'practical' rout... for now ;)

This is the best Forum by far because it is comprised of the best people. Thank you all! I'll still be watching from time to time.

Best regards to all,

Let's start a pool on how long it takes Mike to be back in another NSX. :)

It's actually strange to see many members owning more than 1 NSX. He'll be back.

In the mean time hope you enjoy you car Mike. I also want to mention the Honda Odyssey as another terrific pratical vehical. 28mph nice interior and lots of room :) My mother purchased one and I can't believe how much nicer they become.

The Volkswagen Eurovan Is a nice replacment too!:biggrin:

Just kidding GTR, my pop has one too. Just not sure its like the S6.:smile:

S6 = 340hp V8 / 0-60 5.5
Odyessy = 255 hp V6 / 0-60 8.7
Eurovan = 201 hp V6 / 0-60 11.1

That's a coincidence - I am also listing my NSX (again) for sale after deciding not to sell it two months ago - my first choice in my next car is a 2004+ Audi S4 (6spd) - it's a weird feeling knowing that you have to get rid of your dream car just because it's the wise thing to do (2 kids + wife + their expenses)

I know I will buy another one - the questions is when ????????

so sad

Thanks guys. Damn. if I were impulsive I'd go after that 650HP turbo listed on eBay. I'll watch it from afar.

Concerning the S6, I wanted a fun car, but an every day car and I need a wagon. The S6 has 300 ft lbs of torque at around 3,000 rpm and really feels snappy. It has all the bells and whistles and a beautifully finished interior. Not wild about the fuel economy. Its easy to get down to the 15 mpg range although i'm presently at 17.5 mpg seeing how frugelly (and slowly) I can drive it.

Also, I'm well familiar with Audi's maintenance reputation. I have a 48/50,000 mi warranty, so I'll be looking for a replacement in about 3.5 years... maybe sooner. never know.

I do need a fun car however and i'm thinking about two possibilities...

1. MGA Specifically 1962 1600 Mk II Red exterior. I had one as a kid and want one again for sentimental value. Also, these English classics seem like solid investments.

2. Lotus Elise. I like the looks, fast, and good on gas :) Remember, I said fun car, not practical car. heheh

btw. I'm missing my NSX, or course, but I know it is in good hands.

Mike-

Sad to see yet another "ORIGINAL OWNER" selling their NSX, I'm sure she was scared to leave her FIRST HOME:frown: :redface: :biggrin: .

BTW, you finally BUFFED OUT that paint problem on the OLD wagon and ended up with a BLACK ONE...awesome buffing skills there sir:wink: :eek: :biggrin:

Like I said.. don't feel sad... feel happy for the guy who bought it. Now he gets to live his dream :)

And the car gets to be used more. It's all good

Hey Mike -

You and I exchanged PM's a couple of years back when I was trying to track down an original batch Tubi exhaust. I said then how great your Spa NSX was and I'm glad to see it go to a good home.

I wish you the best and hope you'll continue to drop in here from time to time and continue to contribute.

Take care.

have fun and this is not a farewell but i'm sure will see u back in an NSX in the future. :smile:

Hi Folks,
I am the very happy new owner of Mike's NSX. I looked at bunch of cars before deciding and his was by far the best maintained.

It won't be my daily drive....I have a S60R that is my commuter car.

Took me over a decade to buy this and I still remember the first one I saw.... 1992, University of Southern Cal, Doheny Library Parking lot.

To Mike: Great CAR....ride home was great...but you didn't need to provide the police escort...:biggrin: I found myself being tailed by marked and unmarked police three times...may have been the car, may have been my new sensitivities.

Thanks again.

Speedy`

Congrats Speedy

I am sure you will enjoy the car. Seems like Mike took real good care of it

Good luck, Mike. You'll be back... good almost meeting you :). At least I think it was you that was driving in for the Consumer Reports Running of the Bulls event in CT a couple of years ago just as I was leaving.
