Oscar - thanks, just hung up with Bill. He hasn't driven his car in a few weeks so he's going to come over tomorrow so the wifey and I can see the blue again in person.

Oh wow, that is sweet .... hey, can I join? LOL I love chasing Bill's ass and vice versa ... LOL

Sorry for my long post. Obviously you don't need my advice. So with what you posted - buy the blue one. With all your other NSX experience that's the only one you haven't had apparently. If the silver is any better and money is no object - sc it.

About the info provided - there were no details from what you learned from the owners but superficial ones- but with your experience you just needed superficial druthers from the group. I'll try and read more closely next time. Your own experience is the key to this string - sorry for another epistle.

Short ownership of any particular car means nothing - buying and selling cars over the last 40 years means a lot. NSX is just another car with the many of the same characteristics for prospective purchase once you get the basics down - Honda makes that easy. Doesn't take an expert NSX owner to give sound buying advice but then - you really didn't need it. Hope whatever decision you make is a good one for you! All the best.

Danny knows how I feel. The blue one has seats which are all dried out and cracked. Not my cup of tea. Buy the Silver one and SC it Danny, unless you are gonna fork out a little more loot for the 360-430 then trade up to the 458 in a couple of years.

I hate you  I actually spent a few mins checking out the 360s for sale this morning. That'll have to wait as I'm not over my NSX addiction yet. Since I've already promised the wifey that I won't do another after this I'll probably do the 360 or 430 route next go around.

He sent me better pics of the interior, it doesn't look as bad except it's dirty as hell (there's even a Krispy Kreme box on the passenger seat:confused:). Really surprising as the exterior looks perfect. I talked to him this morning and he'll be out of town till Monday, so I'm done mind screwing myself for 2 more days.

Oh...for the gang....here's the video he sent me...

This thing should be posted in a man cave thread

In terms of the LBBP interior I have seen some miracles done to condition or clean the leather to almost new condition even with some light cracking...

I still think the LBBP is winning this competition but regardless if you ended up with the Silverstone its a lovely color. I'm even considering it...

First reasonable thing I have heard in this whole thread.

WHO CARES ABOUT THE COLOR?

Neither of them are y/y, so you are already losing the color war.

Here is what I suggest you do:

Sit in both.
Turn key.
Mash accelerator

Discussion over.

Danny's face, priceless .... I guess we all know what color he digs ....

Some crappy Iphotos just to celebrate a great afternoon ..

Man I am digging that driveway danny. The blue is totally different in person eh?

Not my driveway Steve, I went east to have lunch with Oscar and Jim. Jim's as "anal" with his car as I am with mine. Damn the blue just does not photograph well. I stood there taking pics, looking at the display of my camera the color didn't even look the same as what I'm standing there looking at. It is absolutely electric.....DIGGIN it!

Ok for the group....I'm passing on the CTSC LBBP in AZ. I got the pics from the guy of the interior and all I can say is WTF?!?!?! The higher res pics are worse than I had thought. When I spoke with him yesterday I asked him why the seats looked like crap. He said sometimes he parks the car out front of his house with the top off and a tree drops crap in the interior. I said to him he should really consider having it detailed before trying to sell it, he responded with "I'll just Armor All it and send new pics". NOOOOOOOO!!!! That was the final straw....If the interior looks this bad what else is there that I don't know about.

So now I'm down to two 03 Silverstones, both in great condition, similiar miles and price. And....I found an 04 LBBP today that seems to be in pristine condition BUT of course this one is the furthest away - CA! Seems the better the car the further away. I'm going to start the process on the 04 and see where it goes....Stay tuned.

Oscar....this was completely inappropriate....the thread is about Silverstone vs Long Beach Blue.....What's with all the red pics? This had nothing to do with RED!

There was an CTSC'd Imola in Georgia (?) that was a pretty good deal.
Still available or where did that go ?
It was Sweeeet !

Not sure...there's an CTSC Imola in VA but it didn't look to be in that good of condition. At this point I'm more focused on getting a pristine car, I can mod it if I choose to once I get it here.

I just hung up with the guy in California on the 04 LBBP. We agreed in principal on a deal, need to schedule the PPI for next week. The car is PRISTINE w/17k miles and completely stock. The guy has a 6 car garage in the front of his house and another 6 car garage on the back half of his "estate"...GEEZ?!?!?! And I was all happy with my big 3 car garage  Trying not to get too excited until the deal is inked but after seeing Bill's LBBP today it's hard not to be.

IMO dont be a "retail" buyer passing on a car because of a poor first impression. IE dont buy a $250 detail, buy whats under it.
If he has records and followed the maintenance schedule and its not scratched up, reconsider.
The Blue is a nice color in that it doesn't scream "LOOK AT ME" yet is different from the crowd. Coming from a black car owner.

Edit;
"My name is David am I'm a hypocrite....."

I looked 2 years to find my museum piece 91.

I hear you BUT I'm not getting a good vibe. Trust me when I tell you the pictures speak volumes. I want a car that has been kept the way I keep my cars. I'm anal and I'm ok with that

I hate the wheels on his car, the seats have major wear on the bolster and look very dried out....Net Net, he hasn't cared for the car the way it should be and that's a major turn off. I'm still pursuing a blue one, just one that's 2 years newer and 20k+ less miles and that makes Daddy happy  If this makes me a "retail buyer" than OK, sign me up. All kidding aside, if this 04 works out, I'm getting a smoking deal.

DRIED OUT? I have seen prunes with more moisture content!

That Imola car went to Montreal Canada and I've spoken to its new owner who is completely chuffed with buying it. It was in better shape than the pictures eluded to...

Danny congrats on finding another LBBP and with 20k less miles to boot! I have to agree with you on the condition of NSX's because after my absolutely pristine Imola I will not settle for bolster wear and lack of owner care. If it means spending a few more $ than so be it.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you. That 03 Silverstone is now posted here on Prime and it looks a nice example as well.

There's two 03 Silverstones here on Prime, both around 30k'ish miles and both are in great shape. I've spoken with both of them and I'd be happy with either of them. At this point I know I'd be happy with either the LBBP or the Silverstone, so either way it'll all work out.
