Just got my civic back last week. My friend Justin's been working hard on it for over a year. It looks pretty stock from the outside but he's done so much to it I wouldn't know where to begin.

Looking good! I always wanted to get a 70's civic and put a modern engine like B18C. Now that'll be a sleeper!

Actually, I really wanted to put a b18 or even a b16 in but I'd need a CVCC body. The motor I'm using is from a 2001 Acura EL, which is a 126 hp 1600 cc SOHC VTEC motor. The stock motor in my Civic was a 1200 cc 56 or 57 hp motor.

what's a CVCC body?

The CVCC Civic had a larger engine bay to house a 1500 cc engine. I was told that it's big enough to handle the DOHC B18. The engine bay I've got is pretty small and it's barely big enough for the 1.6 SOHC.

Peter, what type of wheels do you have on your NSX. They look great, are they S2k rims?

I love those old Hondas.

clean old school civic! Very nice! And I love your 1st gen NSX-R Enkei wheels. How hard was it to locate a set?

Thank you for recognizing the 1st gen NSX-R wheels. I was horrified to see that someone thought those were S2000 wheels!

My friend in Japan found them on Yahoo and bought them for me. He picked them up and shipped them over for dirt cheap, including tires. They were in really rough shape though so I had them refinished.

I'm loving my Civic, it's so fun to drive. Still needs some work, like suspension, wheels, tires, a quieter fuel pump....but it's awesome. It's a loud little thing and it flies.

I love your NSX-R rims and especially the Civic. I am looking for a good shape Civic CVCC body to plan a 1.6 sohc turbocharged in there. I saw one CVCC in excellent conditions for sale on ebay awhile back for 8K. Too much for a project to start with imo.
Great restoration works.

Sorry to dig this thread up again, but I took some recent pictures of my Civic. Since the last post, I've had it lowered, got some 15in Panosport wheels, and HIDs.

So did you go with the M5 HIDs on your Civic like you did on the NSX
Pam

Nope, the factory BMW kits are too expensive! I got this one way cheaper. It's another company that my friend sells. The kit I got is 6500k hi (regular) / lo (HID) beam unit with a sealed ballast (they dropped th ballast in a tank of water with the lights running!).

Here's a comparison pic of a single beam kit installed in my brother's ES300. He's got the regular hi-beam and the HID lo-beam on at the same time:
