Guys with Stoptech brakes, please recommend a pad that doesn't squeak and dust?

I just need a street pad, I don't do any racing. This noise and all the dusting is driving me nuts.

I'm having trouble finding good feedback.

Thanks,
Eric

The HPS will give the best performance, but will still dust a little. Ceramics dust less and the dust is a lighter gray vs black like semi-metalic pads.

* for the record, I have not used these pads. I bought a BBK in order to brake without fade, not for bling.

EAC if you're just doing street driving - stock pads work great and last a long time - for example - my car has 47k miles and I'm still on the stock pads that came in the car and rotors look like they're brand new - absolutely no scoring - smooth as a babies a$$. I can't stand squeaking and dust either and I get no dust! NONE - I have no trouble with the stock stuff.

I have the stoptech big brake kit, I don't think stock pads will fit

The BBK just happened to be installed on the car I bought. The pads I have are the Hawk Plus Pads.

The noise is extreme, I drove to Church yesterday and it was quite embarrasing.

Damn, almost $300 for street pads!

That link to the Hawk Ceramics are $260 with FREE shipping for all four wheels.

OEM pads for the stock calipers are almost $400 for front and rear (including shipping or tax if local). So this isn't bad at all.

I would stay away from the axxis delux pads the ST BBK comes with. Those things squeal like a mother.

I suspect your pads are something other than the Hawk HP+. I've been using the Hawk HP+ for years and they have never, ever squealed.

The cheapest place I've found for Hawk pads is here. Note that they offer free shipping and there's a code on their website for a discount.

My experience is that Hawk HP+ squeal occasionally when coming to a light stop, not consistently just once in a blue moon. It never bothered me. The real problem with HP+ is they dust as bad or worse than a track pad.

I will gladly trade you your Stoptechs for my stock brakes...it would be no trouble for me at all  my brakes are nice and quite with low dust.

I want the dust, noise and awesome

*edit* someone beat me to it.
